I remember this case. Poor daughters 💔 I recently watched the 60 minutes documentary and like always you have so much more details. If anybody has listened to this I do recommend watching the 60 minutes Australia documentary. Watching the detective who had to repeatedly call her mobile and listen to her voice message then broke down in tears even years later because she wasn't found alive made me bawl also. He was obviously a strong man but had heart. Great detective work from the beginning RIP Allison

I’m glad the high court upheld the original sentence but Australias justice system to victims of violent crimes is just sad for a first world country. Like in America we’re not perfect, but we’ll hand down death or life without parole without question for killers like this

It is a testament to those police officers and community that they put forth that much effort ,dedication and love for this woman to try and bring her justice. All for a total stranger for most of them. What a wonderful group of human beings filled with love.

Narcissists, when they become desperate, turn into sociopaths. Listening to her diary is like reading mine all these years later. Luckily I got away before it was too late. RIP Alison.
@TomTheOwl68 Жыл бұрын
You don't just turn into a sociapath, you already are a sociapath and you can be a narcissistic sociapath. Mental health is patterns of behaviour that can escalate or de-escalate depending on the situation. The patterns are for the most part usually predictable. Too many people think they are qualified to diagnose mental health. If you are qualified then all good but leave it to the professionals otherwise. You may have experience but many symptoms of mental health illnesses and personality disorders overlap and you can not sit diagnosing people without the full knowledge of all of someone's mental health, and the other factors that contribute.

Have just finished indepth book on this case and watched numerous videos. Gerards sister Olivia was shadowing her brother from day one, keeping journalists from getting close to him, stopping him from speaking on occasions, no emotion at all re missing sister in law. She looked a nasty piece of work, and their parents too! I have no doubt they knew from the beginning that he'd killed Allison, and assisted in some way also re the body or other ways.

I appreciate you guys make a mention to a previously covered podcast and the number, I feel like many don’t really do that and just say “on a previously covered show”.
