Honestly, I was planning on releasing this last year, but I didn't think it was good enough (in my own standards) to post. But after a while I thought "In order for me to grow, people need to see my work" Even for me, I get caught up in perfectionism. How many of you are caught up in perfectionism?

I could honestly cry. I’ve been looking to good examples of wedding videography using an SL2 because that is all I can afford. I was beginning to think I was out of luck in expanding on my already very small wedding portfolio because of my camera, but this just BOOSTED all of my confidence. Great results can be made on any time of gear as long as you have the skills for it. Thank you so much, I’m definitely subscribing!!

TBH, this is impressive for the Canon SL2 and the 50mm lens. You are a talented videographer! Great job. I'm assuming you just used your Canon SL2 with your 50mm lens, the kit lens, and your SX510? I'm also assuming you filmed with the Canon SL2 freehand and had the SX510 for B-roll on a tripod? Your editing & color grading/correction was great as well! Did you use any LUTs? Lastly, the composition of your shots were so great. I'm no expert, but to me, you did such a great job. Especially for your 2nd wedding! I'm sure you're keeping up the great work!

Thank you for your kind words, Lee! You are correct, you have a very disserning eye. I think I used a warmer LUT, but can't think of the name. But what made the biggest difference the lighting & capturing the colors naturally in-camera. Thank you! That means a-lot. I've been more focused more on creating videos for my full time job, but I cam occasionally making things on the side.

@@DillonProductions really nice man. So when you say "capturing the colors naturally in the camera" did you use a "flat profile" like neutral or cinestlye as your color profile then color grade on top of that? Or some other color profile?

For this I use a customized my cameras picture style to "Neutral", then color corrected when needed then color graded.

@@DillonProductions gotcha. Thanks for the clarity... In your experience, can you really tell the difference in quality from just recording with one of the picture profiles vs. recording in neutral then spending the time to color correct and color grade?

I think the difference can be big or small depending on what you plan to do with the footage. Having it in neutral or even a flat profile simply gives you more control over how the footage will look when you color correct & grade. I can help a little bit with dynamic range, but other than that shooting on my DSLR, it does make a little bit of a difference. But I'm also not a Hollywood colorist so there's that.

I recently got the same camera to start playing with. Your videos are inspiring with such a little camera. What focus setting do you use usually and also which Image Stabilization setting?

Thank you! I used the face tracking auto focus feature for most of this shoot. And I didn't have any image stabilization except for my kit lens.

1080p at 60fps (for the slow motion bits) and 24fps for the anything real-time. 👍🏾

I actually didn't have a mic on this shoot. I used a Zoom H1 plugged into the DJ's sound system to get high-quality audio during the ceremony.

My guy... I'm impressed with the quality of your work! Here are some things to consider with your website: (First Impressions) I loved seeing the eye-catching reel at the home page, then as I scrolled down I saw "LET'S ME TELL YOU WHY I AM RIGHT FOR YOU!" Your first impression is EVERYTHING. You've got to double-check you're spelling and grammar wherever there's text. Some people will see that and won't take you as seriously. In your about page, I would recommend shortening the text below the video. maybe try saying something like, "Your wedding is already stressful enough, Untouched FIlms is here provide ______________ so you can focus on your special day." Keep it brief because time is money. Hope this helps!

Hey bud! For this wedding I used the 50mm 1.8, but the first wedding I filmed was mostly filmed with the 18-55mm kit lens. It's okay to use it if it's all you have!
