The bone handles are a game changer. Just beautiful and makes me want to switch to the traditional.

I went to an Ace Hardware but I couldn't decide between the sod buster Jr and the mini trapper. So I bought both and both patterns have been in my pocket for the last 22 years now. I'm loyal to the sod buster and the mini trapper. I've used them for everything; bushcraft, small game, panfish, and food prep. I use a large Trapper for big game. Thanks for the great review on the sod buster. Excellent video! Liked and subscribed!

Hard to think any traditional lover wouldn't like a good Farmer's knife. Case knows how to make a good handle. Thanks for the show n ' tell Pete.

I am with you on the Sodbuster. In particular, I love the Sodbuster Jr. I have knives ranging from $15 to $325 , and I often choose to carry my Sodbuster Jr. I can't explain it either. They give me a total knife chub.

After a lifelong quest of trying to find the perfect useful knives from sak as a kid, going to Kershaws, Benchmade to spydercos, something about these sodbusters just screams perfection. I love them and wish I had came across these earlier. All the bells and whistles the newer knives offer really don't matter when it comes to the simple tasks 99.9% of us use them for.

Sodbusters are my favorite pattern. I like other patterns too, but Sodbusters are just the best.

I like all knives that are derived from peasant work knives. Svord friction folders or Opinels or sodbusters which are german designed work knives or the Japanese higonokami. All are solid and simple. All the best.

Yes me too something about them old school knives!!!! The older the better

I’m waiting for my carbon steel workman soddie to show up in the mail…. Haven’t got the bone handle version yet but enjoy the ones I have so far. Lightweight, right sized, easy open, and versatility are my favorite things about a sod buster jr.

You must have read my mind today, because I've got my yellow sodbuster jr in my pocket right now! I just love the pattern, it's so simple but the blade shape is very versatile for doing a ton of different work. I never get tired of carrying them! Cheers, my friend!

The tru sharp will get a slight / interesting patina if you use it to slice onions, so wash it afterwards.
@doomcrewoutdoors16132 жыл бұрын
I’ve found the best way to get a patina started is just to peel and slice an apple or two each day, and wipe it off after you do because if you leave those juices on the blade too heavy that’s when you get those ugly stains…
@jerseyknifeguy63822 жыл бұрын
Sounds good I’ll have to try it because I’m always looking for a good way!!!!! Thanks so much

I just can’t get into the lack of a birds eye rivet on the ones with bone covers. That’s why I’ve passed on their bone covers. I’m not the only Case Sod Buster fan who wants to see the birds eye rivet on these.

They are great work knives. Nothing fancy, but who needs fancy when you are working? I have the he sodbuster pattern in Case, GEC, Rough Ryder, and I think Marbles too. Kind of reminds me of the Rat model 1 blade.
@jerseyknifeguy63822 жыл бұрын
Yes william let me be honest with you I’m not a fancy guy at all!!!!! All through winter I wear boots a flannel and jeans!!!! And a carhart jacket!!!!! My wife says don’t you wear anything else…… nope and now summer is rolling in every year it’s the same thing 3 pair of shorts 3 teeshirts and some socks!!! That’s it no more than that I’ll go to Walmart soon!!!!! Lol hahah the shorts are like 10 a piece the shirts are cheaper I’ll be less than a 100 for all of it lol
