It's interesting that the savage murder of the cleaner a year later in Wollongong also occurred within 100 meters of a train station in an very seedy area where vagrants would often sleep. It's possible both crimes were perpetrated by a train hobo/beach bum, possibly because summer school holidays offered him opportunities or that he attended school. This may be supported by the fairly advanced home made nature of the spear found near the boy crabbing was found. A home made spear is harder to trace. Someone who hangs out with other beach hobos would soon learn how to make a spear. It also possible the girls attended a kind of hobo/pervert/tramp beach party where Christine had a drink, I would imagine tramps might spend the night there. This also might be the reason not many who were seen in the area came forward. The girls may have been invited to meet someone at the beach or sandhills which was why they were quite determined to be there, but were not able to due to the weather. This could also be linked to the boy appearing angry coz they didn't come (or possibly because they didn't bring food), furthering support that he was a tramp. Wilder was a well built 19 yo and would be less likely to have needed to rest dragging a body, however after the physical exertion of killing /chasing 2 girls may have just needed to obscure the body quickly. I wonder if more than one person is involved to some extent? Maybe a young (homeless?) boy procured the girls where an older man was involved in the murder. It's also worth nothing the area where Anna Dowling was found is fairly large area surrounding a small medical research atomic reactor used for camping, dumping and trail biking as it is unsuitable for habitation. Great research and presentation BTW. It's good that people don't stop trying to catch these bastards. Keep it up.
