'Unreasonable behaviour' is a crazy way of describing attempted murder
@kerrypearce42647 ай бұрын
With divorce there at the time, there were specific categories and this would have been the closest fit. It’s merely an admin matter and doesn’t really matter now. Each specific category would have certain consequences and is merely part of an often complex decision-making process. And yes, it does look rather silly given the actual crime so many decades ago.

Thank you for covering this case, it was very local to me at the time. I remember it very well, I was about 14 when it happened and it was on the regional news - Graham Backhouse was interviewed by local reporters regularly after his wife was blown up by the car bomb. It was a really shocking story at the time and later when he was interviewed again by the local press with stitches all over his jaw, it was even more shocking. But then even before he was charged I remember that a lot of people just didn’t believe him but we were still all really shocked that he would slash his face like that.

@@jennyterrell6354 You cannot be serious. The comments are about the video so pretty much all of them are a spoiler of some sort. Unless a person is under the age of 10 & has never watched a video with an accompanying comment section, this should not need to be explained. The nerve.

What a conniving, scheming man. What a tangled web he wove for himself, all for money. To be honest, I’m surprised Margaret agreed to the life insurance policy. It seems she knew he was a womaniser, and that the farm was in financial ruin…… if my husband had suggested it, I’d have ran for the hills! There’s a huge culture of life insurance policies in the USA isn’t there? people are always bumping each other off for sums of money. This in certainly a complicated story, cheers! ✌🏻👍🏼

I miss my old 1983 Volvo. Had it till 2003. It turned on a dime, was easy to drive, but was a tank, and I named it Benvolio. My family collected multiple Volvos over the years. My dad lent one to a coworker who didn’t have a car, and it was broken into. They couldn’t get into the trunk from the outside so they went through the backseat, and tore the whole thing out. Why they assumed there was anything worth that much work in there, who knows. But I mourn that one too. Classic Volvos are especially delightful beasts.
@Madeleinewith3Es21 күн бұрын
@@MegCazalet RIP Benvolio! I have a 2005 S60, and it's AWD so the turns are wider, but I had a tire blowout on the freeway a few years ago and while it took a few minutes to get to safety on the shoulder, I never lost control once. It was only the sound of the road changing that even alerted me to something wrong, like the tire suddenly becoming three pieces of tire.

Those poor boys losing both parents and the ignominy of their father’s crime must have had a deep effect on them. This is the meaning of the saying, the sins of the father are visited on the children. The children have to live with the knowledge of what their father did.
