Somehow he always avoids taking damage from leviathans lol. I had them on me a lot, almost lost my cyclops to the Sea Dragon, and another time to a ghost leviathan. The Sea Dragon even knocked me out of the map when I was on that mountain.

For the reapers you basically snap their ankles, when they charge you, you swim towards them and move to the side of them, and you keep doing that until is loses focus. Then you can swim away, if you try to swim away while it's actively coming for you. You won't outrun it. For the ghost leviathans you can outswim them with the seaglide if I remeber. As for the sea dragon, I just try to avoid it if I can.

Case, I will say that I'm kind of proud that you have come this far! after your very first encounter with a reaper I thought it was over, but you've kept on playing regardless, you've got some good commitment. Here are some tips. (1) After a Leviathan is done attacking and is going the opposite direction, you can safely get out and it wont attack for a few moments (I dont expect you to do this but still) and since the Sea-Dragon does 60 damage to the prawn suit, this might help. (2) if you head South-West while in the lava zone, there will be a drop-off hole somewhere that will go to a VERY crucial area of the game, when in the hole, look in one in the walls for a tunnel. Use a water purification station Or Grav trap to catch food/water. 7. Use the prawn suit grapple arm to swing like spiderman. 8. Stop using the fabricator in the cyclops ALL THE TIME. 9. i once played through subnautica with no beacons because i couldn't find them to scan whatsoever. my way of making "beacons" was just building a base and adding a scanner room to it, so i can use its cameras as beacons. but I did it only twice, because building new base every time was quite expensive

Hey Case, just a tip, if you slash the plates on the tube coral, combine it with salt you can find around your base, you then make bleach which then turn into two bottles of water that is twice as effective and you don't have to look for bladderfish

A big problem with Subnautica 1 is that there are not enough creatures that can kill you for ex: reaper leviathans which makes it hard to die if you don't try to. It would be nice if they changed this in Subnautica 2 where there are more creatures that have more aggression and chase you farther. This would make Subnautica feel like its more of a "survival" game.

Case, to farm copper i recommend to go on reefbacks and collect barnicles. They almost always drop copper and theres a lot of them on each reefback. Also to farm all shale ores go to sea treaders path, its near dunes. There are friendly big things that create a ton of shales by walking. Please like this comment so case sees

Hey Case, been watching since the very beginning of the Subnautica journey and i absolutely love it. A helpful tip for food and water; you can hit coral tubes with your knife to get some samples and combine them with salt you find around on the ground to make bleach. Then you can make water with the bleach to get lots more water per bottle than you would with a bladderfish. Also use the salt to make cured fish that will never spoil in your inventory

Hey case, the mound you're on is known as the lava castle. Inside some of the alien bases you'll find large archways that need an ion cube. Not spoiling but they're really helpful. Also craft bleach from salt deposits and coral tube samples, it can be made into water and you get two bottles per craft.

I think a scanner room would come in clutch down in the lava pits Using a thermal plant to power it. prepping the materials beforehand and building it on site would help alot + Scanner range extender. I remember before a few patches, kyanite would give you like 1-3 per geode. absolutely sick.

When I was playing hardcore Subnautica I was thrown like 6000 meters in the voin when I got into my cyclope. 10/10 expirience, I don't even remember how I got from there to my base and saved my Cyclope... I completed hardcore on this world btw.

this game is actually one of my top comfort games, when i get bloated with stress and stuff i just launch the game go to the void all the sounds and absolute darkness would be terrifying for anyone but for me personally it brings me peace and clarity reminds me that my bad day is a small passing by bad fish just like the leviathans and the chaos and blindness makes so my head clears and i promise you after like 30 minutes i get up like i had slept for days full of energy, im not sure anyone can resonate with this, but im 100% not alone
