What might we learn from Casey Anthony's recent statements in which she blames her father, George, for Caylee's death?

Casey was jealous of her own child and especially the way the grandparents doted on Cailee. So Casey punished them by taking the child away permamently. That is indeed pathological jealousy exhibited often by narcissists and sociopaths.

I was directed here while watching Pat Brown’s channel. I feel this documentary featuring Casey’s lies that’s being put out is disgusting. I’m not watching it and I refuse to believe anything that comes out of Casey’s mouth. Her behavior after Kaylee went missing and when dealing with LE spoke volumes about guilt. Go away Casey, STOP making money off of the murder of your daughter which you’re responsible for. It’s totally disgusting.

When she describes being smothered and her own "lifeless body" I can only think of Caylee being smothered and her lifeless body thrown away. The problem with Casey is that she has had a lot of time to create a whole new reality for herself. She strikes me as someone who could study up on victim experiences and make a compelling story. We already know how well she can do that. I trust and respect your skills at statement analysis and deduction, and I agree that her pathology reflects an early trauma. I just have a lot of trouble believing her story about George. I have recently watched another YT doc (behind Criminal Minds is the channel) where we are given some evidence that did not make it to the jury. According to phone records, she was the only one in the house with Caylee in her last hours alive. Computer records show that she was the only one who could have performed the searches on "foolproof suffocation" on the day Caylee disappeared. If these records are accurate, she is the only person who could have either killed Caylee or found her "dead from an accident" that day. Her goal for stretching out the time between the murder and Caylee's body being found was to ensure the evidence would be gone.

Yeah, totally!! I just learned about those web searches myself. If only the jury could have been made aware at the time. That and her 31 day wait plus the initial lies and the wild goose chase she sent detectives on are so obviously the actions of a guilty person that I'm still surprised she got off. There's a visit with her parents from jail that is very revealing. She slips and referrers to Caylee in the past tense saying something like "You guys were (not are) great grandparents to Caylee". Gives me the chills. When you mention early trauma I do agree somewhat but I don't think of it the same as I do other types of child abuse. More like they were such inept and horrible parents that they screwed her up by not disciplining her or checking her bad behavioral traits, cosigning her B.S. and ultimately drinking her Kool-Aid and allowing themselves to be manipulated. When she lied about graduating college her parents covered for her by throwing her an awesome graduation party to help her along with the ruse. I mean, all of her closest friends and family would have been in attendance and her parents were ok with lying to all of them to rescue their now fully grown bratty daughter from some much deserved embarrassment and humble pie. So they definitely get some of the blame for the monster she turned out to be.

Casey killed Caylee because she was in the way. Tony, her boyfriend states he wanted to break up with Casey " and let her down gently ". He told her he couldn't see himself with a woman who had a daughter. This was the catalyst that drove Susan Smith to kill her baby sons, Michael and David by driving them into the lake. Her boyfriend used the same excuse to break up with Susan. Casey also lashed out at her best friend by stealing her money through writing bad checks from her checkbook left in the glovebox of her friend's car. Casey was borrowing her car while she was in Puerto Rico. Her friend, along with a group of other friends traveled to Puerto Rico. Casey asked Cindy for the money to go on this girls trip. Casey asked Cindy to babysit Caylee while Casey would be gone. Cindy refused and this enraged Casey and she stole money from her grandmother via her grandmother's checkbook as well. Cindy wanted Casey arrested once she found Casey. The original 911 call reflects this as Cindy mentions the theft of money as well as the family car. Casey lied about graduating High School. Casey spent her early years lying with Cindy enabling her lying and covering for her. Cindy held a graduation party for Casey because she was embarrassed that Casey had lied about graduating. Cindy admitted she didn't want family and friends to look down on Casey. Cindy was finally putting her foot down and trying to force Casey to take responsibility for her life. In earlier interviews Cindy stated this fact. The video of Caylee sitting in Cindy's father's lap at the nursing home on Father's Day is an example of her punishing Cindy. That Father's Day was right after Cindy caught her stealing her grandmother's checkbook. Casey refused to go with Cindy to see her grandfather on Father's Day to embarrass and hurt Cindy. Casey resented this and in my opinion, Casey's diabolical behavior was a product of her soulless character. I don't believe she was molested. Nor that George molested Caylee. Casey wanted Tony, a trip to Puerto Rico, spending money for clothes and booze and free time to party. Caylee was in her way. The fight with Cindy, the night before the day Casey left with Caylee set the murder in motion. Her computer searches for fool proof strangulation, align with Cindy's refusal to fund her trip to Puerto Rico, her stealing her Grandmother's checkbook and Tony trying to dump her. Jose created a scenario with George as the villain. Casey and Casey alone is the villian.

She also had several arguments with her mom about custody of Caylee. Cindy really loved caylee and Casey felt ignored and was jealous of the attention. She would even call Caylee her daughter instead of grand daughter. Casey wouldn’t just leave her daughter with her mom and dad. Then she would have «lost» her parents and their affection. :/ plus she was living off of them in their home. It’s a sad case.

Have you got a link to where Tony says he wanted to dump her because she had a child? In the testimony I saw, he said he that he wasn't bothered by his girlfriend having a child and he also spoke very warmly about Caylee. His text messages to her support this. Personally I don't think Tony ever mattered that much to Casey - she was flirting with other guys all throughout their relationship. He had an apartment she could stay at throughout the infamous 31 days but I don't think she was in love with him or even trying to marry him for his money - he wasn't rich, after all.

@@Juliet_Tobin He said it during his police interview. He never said she was a bad mom and he admitted to liking Caylee. He told the investigators that she was getting too clingy and he used it as an excuse to let Casey down easy. I tried to link it here but the thread won’t let me post it. Go back and search for Tony Lazzaro police interview. It’s also found within published interviews with him. It’s easily found by Googling it. Yes, she was a party girl but he as well as her best friend said her wild behavior was a manipulation in the attempt to show Tony how desirable she was and that he should commit ti a monogamous relationship with her. Both statements are well known. Nancy Grace did several interviews back then with said info on her show, from their own mouths.

@@SariShares Thank you for posting this. I've been reading Casey's text messaging history and I must say, that's such a manipulative and hypocritical way to get a guy to commit to a monogamous relationship! She was flirting incessantly with different guys in her texts when Tony was supposedly her bf. Please don't misunderstand me . I'm not suggesting Casey was innocent but from reading her texts, she didn't seem that into Tony - she seemed far more interested in flirting with other guys, scoring drugs and manipulating poor Amy who she was constantly stealing money from. I can't believe the prosecution didn't make more of the drug angle because it could explain quite a lot about her bizarre behavior. I'm not saying you're wrong or that Tony didn't perceive things differently. Thanks again.

Everytime I get confused by the possibility Casey's father could have killed Caylee and Casey was just so traumatized and a victim herself of generational curses/abuse I remember the videos of her talking to her parents. I think they show that her new story is almost impossible. I would expect some clue she was looking to him for for how this would end. If Caylee was indeed maybe okay while she was out partying for 30 days wouldn't she be in shock again instead of making up the whole job/nanny/ goosechase? Even if she wanted to protect her father wouldnt she have shouted ask my dad when put in handcuffs and interrogated? Wouldn't she try to get info out of him on his visits to the jail? Even if coded? I cannot believe her story at all.

Sometimes people are born with a deficit in the part of the brain that regulates emotions and have a predisposition towards sociopathy and/or BPD. The child can be so over-the-top with tantrums and acting out that the frustrated parents respond by being too placating or aggressive, sometimes a combination of both, because being assertive doesn't seem to work like it would with a normal child. The ineffective parenting exacerbates the problems till the child develops a full-blown personality disorder. I suspect this is what happened with Casey. Clearly, she has something missing. Her parents needed to get some help in dealing with her when she was a young child so they could be consistent, effective, on the same page. I think she has sociopathic traits and the excitement seeking type of BPD. She has no respect for her parents, especially her mother, because her mother alternates between being passive/placating and being aggressive.

The part in this blame it all on "dad" attempt, where in my point of view Casey is obviously lying here, AGAIN; When she says; the last time she saw her own daughter was when she was laying next to her on June 16th 2008 and then Casey states that her door was POSSIBLY unlocked but the next thing she remembers is her father waking her up asking where Caylee is. So to me I can conclude reasonably and obviously that this door was unlocked! There's nothing questionable like "possibly" about it! But she still wants to portrait to us that she was unsure about her bedroom door being locked or not, when she says...Possibly Unlocked! When it obviously turned out to be unlocked! Because how else would her father be able to step in her room and wake her up if the door was locked! Why does Casey tells the story, like she still isn't sure this present day at the moment of telling this story like she didn't know if the door was locked or not, when it obviously wasn't? You would think she would have stated the story differently, like; When we (she and her daughter) fell a sleep on June 16th... You think Casey would note this observation in her statement about this door of her room that obviously wasn't locked and would 've stated something more logical like this; "I obviously must have forgotten to lock my door because the next thing I knew, my father was (in my room) waking me up, asking me where Caylee was....". Instead of; " THE DOOR WAS POSSIBLY UNLOCKED! When at the moment of telling this story it was not a mystery or unknown to her if the door was locked or not, since she came to find out rather quickly that it obviously was unlocked, since her dad was able to walk in and wake her up!!! To me this strange statement already shows she not being 100% truthfull in my opinion, so overall I remain to have great difficulty with everything that comes out of this woman's mouth! But the sexual abuse does explains her promiscuous behavior! So I do not rule out sexual abuse. ✌

@@MR-qp8px Exactly, I agree 😌 Lot of contradictory behavior, but it's difficulty to make an assessment of this sexual abuse by her father George and these accusations, did or didn't happen 🧐 Some signs would say that it could 've actually been true because some of her excessive behavior...and makes me feel it could hold some probability 🤔... but at the other hand... ✋ a lot of things aren't very probable at all! Even these years later nothing has changed, the fact she was & still is a perpetual liar 🤥 Meaning no one can ever be a 100% sure of anything she says, unfortunately! We only know 4 sure that; She still refuses to own up to any mistakes as it shown to be the case in the documentary, instead she blames any& every body else ☝ She probably convinced herself that she has no fault or blame in her daughters death, but it remains a question why & what exactly led up to that faithful moment in time? 😕 Casey doesn't seem to feel much, not real guilt or responsibility, even with those crocodile tears💦 the woman is failing miserably to present even a tiniest bit of honesty and/or sincerity. It didn't take long for the documantary to unveil her role in this play, and how she actually sees herself in it! 🎬 Evidently the woman has some skewed views about reality but she actually invisions herself as some totally helpless young woman, who suffered an abusive homelife and this simply crafted and groomed her into this unstable & dishonest woman, a perpetual liar and master manipulator 👹 An made a victim through her abusive invirement. Due to these horrific incestuous familiar circumstances, she therefore cleanses herself of having any responsibility for her behavior, or accountability 4 what happend to her daughter. She claims this lying, this deceiving behavior, she learned early on from her family interactions and made her into a woman incapable of telling the truth! Casey continued the ridiculous accusation that George took little Caylee away.... Somehow...😒 sumizing... he therefore must have been responsible for dumping the body and the one who duck-taped the little girls face, & then threw her away like trash. Meanwhile Casey acts likes she hasn't got a clue 🤷‍♀️ claiming she just doesn't know what happend to her daughter😛 ...Yeah right! What a f*cking Cl🤡wn this woman is gehe.. I’m going to try something a little different and stop the video and comment _before_ I hear your analysis so I can see how close my theory is to what you say. My belief has always been that Casey would drug Caylee. (most likely with Xanax ie: “Zanny the nanny”) so that she could party and hang out with her boyfriend while Caylee was knocked out. The day Caylee was killed was because Casey accidentally gave her too much (which was bound to happen at some point. The more she engaged in this behavior the more chances there were for an overdose and it seems like she did it quite often.) After she realized that she literally killed her daughter she panicked and put duct tape on Caylee’s mouth, wrapped her up in a blanket and plastic bags and placed her in a laundry bag to dispose of her body to make it look like someone came in and took Caylee from the house and murdered her. This is why I think the prosecution couldn’t prove their case. They left no room for nuance or the theory that it wasn’t premeditated 1st degree murder. If they’d have given the jury the option to convict Casey for 2nd degree murder without premeditation, or even involuntary manslaughter which they would only have to prove that she acted with reckless abandon or neglect. If given the chance I think the jury would have easily convicted Casey if one of the lesser charges because imo there was more than enough evidence to prove one of those charges.

Nope don’t buy it. In fact the behaviour panel said when she denied ever drugging Caylee it was the one thing she was being honest about. She googled full prof suffocation the day Caylee was last seen. I think she smothered her, put her in the trunk & went to Tony’s. When she started to smell she new she had to dispose of her. I think she put the duct tape over her mouth to cover the gaping mouth that happens in death. She committed 1st degree murder imo.

I think there's definite indicators of Casey Anthony's SA claims against George Anthony being true. When it was brought up during the trial, I didn't believe it. I get the theories on Casey being abused as a child, but I can't help but see her remarks as projections of what she did to Caylee. Her speaking about being suffocated, rendered unconscious, the supposed abuse at her father's hands are descriptions of what she did to Caylee. It's a bit of experiential memory that leaks out, but she put herself as the victim instead of her daughter. It's so fitting for who Casey is to not even allow her daughter the right to her own tormented death but instead claims those sufferings as her own. There is also the remark of holding a limp Caylee in her arms, though she changed the circumstances in her story. Caylee was beyond a burden to her - she *despised* her. What I remember most about the case was the creepy video she took of Caylee in the highchair eating, circling her silently like a stalking lioness as she was getting footage of her last days. It was incredibly sad to watch as Caylee reached out to her, talking and fussing, and got no response.

Hi Peter, this was truly brilliant thank you. I thought I knew this case but I didn't know that Cindy denied Tim from Equusearch access to Casey, or about the subsequent comments to the press about Caylee not being in the woods. That is shocking to me and seems obviously to point to Cindy having knowledge about Caylee's location. It's very sad and was imo a terrible mistake that the prosecution only put forth the option of murder 1 with the death penalty rather than giving the option of manslaughter - in which case I'm certain the jury would have convicted her. But there simply was no evidence of premeditation therefore the jury rightly acquitted her although we all felt sick that this obvious child kller was exonerated. Anyway, thank you Peter. Mr. Hyatt, I think it's clear Casey had no discipline growing up. Her parents didn't want to discipline her, but why? Maybe they had when she was young, but the result was catastrophic for everyone. What comes to mind is in an episode of the Simpsons, where Homer talks about something that happened to him as a boy... "I really wanted a catcher's mitt, but my dad wouldn't get it for me. So I held my breath until I passed out and banged my head on the coffee table. The doctor thought I might have brain damage." Wouldn't a similar event both cause her to have trauma and not trust authority, and her parents have trauma from trying to enforce discipline, so they stop doing it? Just a thought.
