Dee Bonnick, 2025 CECA Recipient, Birth Mother

Our 2025 Casey Excellence for Children Awards Birth Mother honoree, Dee Bonnick, shares about her professional and lived experience in child welfare. She grew up in kinship care with a grandmother who fostered and adopted children and is a national lived experience expert and an educational advocate for Connecticut’s State Department of Education.
