ABUSE comes in all different religions. MY abuser was CATHOLIC! More than just love and prayers; I think she deserves to be put into a position whereupon she could FINANCIALLY help others too;I was thinking, that if each "independent and respected" mother in every country , could find a way to DONATE ONE DOLLAR to this lady's cause; SHE, of all "spokesmen" would know exactly what to do with those dollars ? At least American society has come to grips with providing safe havens and shelters; next job should be the protections of the street people, though ? SOME and MANY are females ? (Religion and Tradition?) Saudi Arabian women are still trying to escape abuse.! Make us wonder about that old attage "animals treat their young better than humans!?") I HOPE this channel continues to present believable "stories," . What a sweet lady; if all of this is true, she's quite brave, isn't she ? The "pace" t which she recollects these tragic experiences seems to add much to her sincerity. (Very believable.) Makes us wonder a bt about all of those trains that crashed in India recently, too. DID males not want to help injured females btw? Has NINA been given a lie detector test , also? Quite convincing, it does make some of us think twice about the concept of "not having control over what country" or "what culture " one is born in? There was one injured mother "featured" who said she watched her daughter die under a GIANT PIECE OF METAL. No men around to help with that ? Not to chivalrous? Yes, there's a song I always thought Reba should have never recorded; " Fancy", about the mother who sold her daughter into prostitution; For a Devout Christion, always seemed so hypocritical! MY ADVICE TO MEN IN GENERAL: And to male producers who said "you must change this to All Night Long" or people wont' listen to it...I SAY " You Missed THE POINT!" "Loving You All Day Long" by Ana Marie Ceuca, in French and Italian. LyndaFayeSmusic@yahoo. Global Women Against War and Abuse!

I don’t know how true this girls account is - but when she says her culture- she seems to be playing the victim to ignorant people and I start to doubt her story. She can say my family was bad, I had a dysfunctional home…when is sexual abuse a part of any cultures and that to incest and rape? Not really a good take away from the story we just heard. This is just the opposite of “ women are stronger than we think”. with the exception of Nina, and maybe one other most of the women in the story are quite disgusting. The men are also atrocious but they have never been a little girl and can’t relate to that position. These women can totally relate to what it was like to be a little girl, and their disgusting fear and selfishness is so large that it would actually allow them to stand by and watch the abuse of a minor to this level. Everyone within a 20 mile radius of the story should be in jail for life or worse.

Women are stronger than men. Let me say that again. Women are stronger than men. This is why many men feel the need to control women. It is their fear of the woman's power. Especially when women form a group, say like sisters who are united, or strong female friends standing together. That terrifies many if not most men. This is why controlling men seek to isolate women from other women. All men have over women is our physical power. That's really it. We're not more intelligent. We're not wiser. We're not more spiritual. We're just (generally) physically stronger. And, do you know what? My acknowledgment of that, as a man, actually makes me stronger as a human. But, I'm a human who understands that I would be nowhere without the strong woman who holds my family together.

Indian culture is bad for women and in India, there are few laws to protect women and they’re not typically enforced. The U.S is much better now but it used to pretty bad for women here too. I'd just say, don't lump an entire country with MULTIPLE cultures into one. Her story is valid and heartbreaking, but please don't apply it to the culture itself. That's racist and unfair. She's speaking her truth, but her experience is not the experience of every Indian female, and we need to remember that violence and evil of this kind is not limited to any one culture.
@GameChanger597 Жыл бұрын
@@sladkydevotchkaYou are ignoring the point she made. It IS part of that culture to disregard girls as worthless- that's not racist, it's a fact. Obviously it doesn't mean that every one within that culture feels that way but yes, it is part of their culture and it's not racist to state facts. China does the same thing. They have murdered so many baby girls over several decades that this generation is in a crisis right now and doesn't even have enough women to marry the men available. Chinese men are literally marrying dead women( yes look it up) and shipping women in from surrounding countries so the Chinese men can get married. So please don't lump in facts with racism as though they are the same thing, just bc those facts are tied to a culture. Racism is when someone believes their race is above another race. No one is saying that here. Only facts were shared and if you think that's "racist" then you aren't making the connection and don't understand what's really being said here. What happened to this woman happened BECAUSE of her CULTURE and the way they view women; not because of racism.

I was really shocked by this story and I’m rarely shocked. I was abused at a young age. I was even raped as an infant by my father. I was kept in my crib for the first three years of my life because my mother didn’t want to deal with a child. It was easier to keep me in a room. I remember jumping in my crib a lot for fun because there was nothing else to do. I remember jumping so high and one day I accidentally jumped out onto the floor. I remember being more shocked that my family, hearing the thud, came in to see what happened than the fact that I fell on the floor. I didn’t know how to communicate with others because of the isolation. When I was fourty years old I learned how to talk freely by talking to strangers at the grocery store. God bless this lady, Nina, she has so much love in her heart and I hope her children appreciate her. There’s not enough love in this world

Maybe she could have found the strength to name Islam instead of blaming patriarchy and men.

@@sicsempertyrannis4351 YOU DO make a good point, but others are suffering many of the same abuses, still?

@@lyndafaye6748 Saudi Arabia is an Islamic country run by the Islamic caliphate. Many animals eat their young and worse things, but I agree Muslims are worse than any animal. Don't give advice to men, 2 reasons. 1, it's not a "men" problem which is what I called Nina out on. 2. 1st Timothy 2:12, if you're a good Christian you should obey your book.

I never Indian culture permitted these ungodly horrors in their families. What a shock and rude awakening.

I’m a 52 yo female who had a good upbringing. I’ve been married 35 years to the most loving loyal man. I’m so grateful for all I have ….all I want to do is hug and hold this woman. Her story is heartbreaking. No one, NO ONE deserves what she went through. The men in her life deserve horrible long lasting pain. Maybe they should go through all Nina did…every little thing. Nina, you matter. You are so strong, intelligent, and beautiful inside and out. If we ever meet, expect a big bear hug!

I just can't believe all this. Absolutely no disrespect meant. I've just been lucky enough to be myself surrounded by loving people. So, I just can't believe that people who birth you can be this mean to you, then in-laws this mean and then I can't believe that your partner will be this mean. What a world we are living in sharing neighbourhoods with victims abused daily and their perpetrators, pure heartless monsters. What makes them this evil. I have probably watched 90% of Law and order svu episodes and still can't believe the level of hate Nina has been subjected too. Then again human history is full of genocides and unspeakable crimes. The most beautiful thing is that despite all, Nina kept rising and is full of love.

This comment is so... Who listens to a tragic story being told by a victim & thinks to say "I had a good upbringing and I have an incredible husband. I want to hug you though." I can kind of see what you were trying to express but this is so, so tone deaf.

@@seaofflowers. Tone deaf to you maybe. I hear empathy, despite a different life experience, and a message that life can be different, so I hear positivity and hope.

Amazing survival story. Literally from birth, neglect, abuse, unspeakable trauma by her own parents because she was born a girl. This is not just an ignorant custom, but an evil one. Gut-wrenching human condition. The story teller has Incomprehensible strength.

As bad as my childhood was being raised with a mom suffering with Schizophrenia it was nothing compared to what you went through. My mother loved us and always was protective of all of her children even when she made terrible life choices that hurt our family. God bless you and thank you for being so strong and telling your very difficult story.
