Wow, this software is much more capable of handling things than my copy of Vegas Pro... And free... I'm switching NOW! Might even consider to buy the studio version in the future. I've done 3D text in Blender until now.. Davinci Resolve is much less time consuming for that kind of thing.

FYI - The "Three Arrows" icon, as you call it, for the transform tab in Inspector is called a Trihedron. Also, the colors of the arrows have meaning. Blue is the Z axis, Green is the Y Axis and Red is the X axis with all of them pointing in the Plus direction (X+, Y+, Z+). It may help with your translations and rotations in deciding which way to move when looking at the 3D scene. Good stuff by the way!

Good (and understandable) explanation how to make a nice 3D title!. By the way...I hope someone can help met out!!! After upgrading to DR17 I have a problem in fusion and I cant figure out why. When I make an adjustment in the fusion page (no matter what or how) the preview window gets blurry while adjusting. After the adjustment the view ¨pops¨back to a clear view. As you can imagine its hard to make chances when the preview is blurry! So does anyone have the same problem or knows how de adjust settings so the preview windows stays clear instead of blurry (while adjusting). By the way I have a MSI Creator, Intell I7, GTX with 32 memory so the specs should be oke.... Any help is welcome....thanks!

Why no shadow on my background? I have a background to a 3d image plane to my 3d merge. I have my key light (right), camera, 3d text, 3d render (lighting and shadows all turned on). I have shadows on my 3d text which change with lighting direction. I moved my camera to one side (left) and rotated to be able to see behind the 3d text to the image plane. I positioned the image plane some distance behind the text, but not too far. No text shadow on the image plane! OK, what am I doing wrong?

The way you explain the topics in the Video Editing, is simply 👌. It sparked the interest to learn more about Video editing. BTW can we make a studio intro like how it is in MCU, where they super impose the Video clips on the 3D Text on all the surfaces?! (Just asking*😅)

Your tutorials are like being taken on a walk through the park! I do have a question about the 4 corner gradient after it has been rendered into its own video. When the 4 colors are all dark and similar they look wavy (only in the rendered video, it looks fine in the project), I think it's called Gradient Banding? I think it's mostly due to the render settings potentially, or the fact the colors were too similar and too dark with not enough variance. Would you have an idea on how to correct this?

Yeah if the colors are too dark with not enough contrast, a lower quality render will band

if you're using windows, you should be able to bring up a file called charmap.exe (Character Map) which has virtually ever letter, dot, line, squiggle, you name it, from virtually every known language... and you trawl through that to find what you need, copy it and paste it into DVR.

I really don't understand why As great as Resolve is that one has to RE-INVENT the wheel. ALL other Edit systems contain some type of Titler where one just picks a type of title and then modifies it to say and fit what they want. No building no little boxes and most of all no PITA INSPECTOR ... just grab, type, and adjust it in real time and place it and be done.
