2:16:16 I get more nodes than is shown in the example, and from here I get stuck. Anyone else having the same problem? I am getting two Merge nodes and a background note with it….

How do enable seeing lights in the merge3d? I can only see the effects of the lighting through the render3d node after turning those options on in the node. Is there a way to see the lighting before the renderer like you did?

Great. I'm just trying to build a scrolling chat feed device. So no concern for layering. This is a nice way of grouping a bunch of graphics into a single node. Maybe there's a better way, but this seems like it will work for me. Thanks as always Casey!

How does this compare to or complement Zero to Hero?
@CaseyFaris10 сағат бұрын
Great question! If you're in Zero to Hero and you're looking for more practice and application, this is PERFECT. You'll have a great time and learn a lot! We don't go over the concepts/basics in this one like we do in Z2H, it's pure application. A GREAT way to build your skills as an intermediate compositor!

I try to learn from KZbin videos, but eighty percent of the videos use the paid version DR. At sixty years old I'm broke as F*&^ so the paid version of DR is way out of my reach.

Very interesting. Does anyone know if there's any kind of community based Fusion Repository? It would be neat to see what other people come up with and if they are willing to share.

I keep hoping they will find a way to add audio to Fusion Composition so it can be saved as a template. I've got an effect+SFX that I use in literally every one of my videos. It would be a timesaver if I could just drag the whole template into my timeline and it automatically have the SFX included with the Fusion Composition. Oh well. I suppose it's the cross we bear as editors. lol

Super excited to get into these! I'm also someone who pre-ordered during the holidays, and not only that, this will be my first course/experience from you guys. Your videos on here showing stuff were already really wonderful in beginning to learn DaVinci and Fusion too. The projects look really awesome and I'm ready to take my skills to the next levet (hopefully lol)!

I'm convinced DaVinci Resolve is THE definitive video editing software package. I'm not an experienced editor but am beginning work on a documentary and needed something besides Premiere (done with their subscription model). I immediately installed Resolve when I found out that there's a free version (and the pro version is very reasonably priced). Whoo daddy! It's a learning curve for sure, but Casey, my man, you make it possible to learn the program and thrive in this beautiful new wonderland of creative possibilities! Thank you!! PS I love the enthusiasm you project throughout this tutorial.

When I paste my fusion composition to another video clip, the keyframes of the transform node are stuck on the frame numbers of the clip where I copied it from. I tried also with a macro, same problem. I want this effect I made in fusion start at the first frame of the clip I apply it to. I am new to this. How to fix this?
@stevehunt914Күн бұрын
ohhh i was hoping this would start from step ZERO, like importing the files. Also, it would help if every tutorial had the same workspace layout... EVERY tutorial video seems to have a different layout and i still don't know what im looking at yet.

Imagine the same shot, but you're not back panning to keep the mountain in the center, you're dollying past it, and you need to smooth the y axis position of the camera. The problem is that you're moving so much that there isn't one thing that is always in the shot to track, you have to track one thing, and then another, and then another. How would I accomplish this?

Excellent tutorials! So clear and understandable. And fun! ❤ I downloaded DaVinci Resolve only last week and used your tutorials to get going. Fusion is really powerful but sometimes takes a while to get it working as you want. Getting there though, thanks to you. I posted my first DR video today, with some motion graphics, and sound effects added to the video track. I even mentioned you in the notes 😉 👍👍 kzbin.info/www/bejne/gXmWY6h8a7N4pJYsi=cQRXa2HjHqGl5u5a

how do people get those values where the spline zoom in/out is placed. you and I both don't have it. i have seen people have a value box and it makes the keyframe curve controller longer and shorter with that without actually selection the curve keyframes and the curve controller, they just change the value from that box. how can we activate that?
@haxman7772 күн бұрын
okay i got the answer from another video. you need to press "T" on your keyboard to make those boxes visible. and Ta Da!!!
