Thank you so much for this. I've watched this more than 6 times in the last 2 days, ultimately making a spreadsheet in order to discuss this with my IT guy in 30 minutes. My new computer build was done in October. Had I seen this video BEFORE I purchased the new build my last three months workflow would have been much different. But I hadn't started watching Davinci Resolve videos for information yet. I hadn't yet discovered resources that I could trust, like your channel. After getting into it, I now have a better idea of what I need. There was no way I understood the possibilities of DR or the computer requirements for building my first computer built for using DR. My old computer would not have been able to handle it. So, I dove right in. Thank you for this. I also have an appointment with Puget today. I am looking forward to resolving my Resolve issues. What a good channel to watch processor and graphics tests, Bro, I don't have much budget to build a PC and I will buy old components, example: Do you think a PC with Ryzen 9 3900x, 32 GB RAM, Rtx 3060 12 gb, NVMe 1 tb 4.0, will be useful for 4k video editing with H.264 and H.265 files with Davinci and Premiere without proxies? Have you tried smooth timeline editing with those components? How about instead of the Rtx 3060 I use the Intel Arc B580? Will those files be able to be used well with decoding and encoding?

I'm finding PNGs sometimes don't translate well in Fusion. Lots of saw toothing. Are SVG files a better way to go?

If you don't know Davinci Resolve, this video was over after 9 seconds. Because I don't know how you get your pictures there.I think this is a common problem, because the person who makes the video thinks the viewers know everything.

Great video as always! I recently wanted to blur someone's face with gaussian blur and stick some text on it while having it tracked in the Fusion page. I tried the plain tracker and the point tracker. Unfortunately this didnt work for me and I had to use a PNG file as a work around. My question is that is it possible to do this in Davinci? Coz i dont wanna waste my time for something that possibly doesn't exist😅

Hey, casey, uh, the .dra folder refused to open inside davini, I restored it but then when I click open Inside davinci for it to open into the timeline the loading was stuck at 100%, and yes, it was the only .dra folder there. I'm not sure what is going on.

OK. I downloaded the intro workfiles folder and clicked on the project file included in the download. When DaVinci opened up, and I clicked on "Untitled Project", I got the message, "Media Offline". Sorry...real beginner here. Thanks for the course! Jeff

I am fascinated by this macro building process!

We had struggled with H.265 using new OMEN 45L desktop with all options ordered in 2022. Turns out the mainboard didn't have the ability to use i9-13900k quicksync and would take hours to render cache during basic edits. Even with the RTX3090 / 24gb and 64 RAM. Had Puget Sytems build the top H.265 desktop possilbe in 2024 and what a diff. proper hardware makes. Yes, it's much better build but if the OMEN 45L had the correct mainboard from HP when assembled, this wouldn't have happened. Also, If we have a Q, Puget has DR knowledge vs HP tech and advanced tech support had zero idea why we were struggling with DR18. Paid about $1500 more for purpose build with real tech support. After wasting 6mo. trying to solve the HP/OMEN problems, we gladly paid it. Thank you Casey for this review
