Casey that seemed to be burned on purpose and very dangerous since it could have been a wildfire very easily with where it was sitting. I want to thank you for showing us the Grand canyon. Letting air out of your tires I am sure made it an easier ride back

Love the Arizona Strip and have to chuckle ever time I drive down route 389 and pass that giant Yellowstone Liquor store just south of the Arizona state line, ready and willing to serve the "spiritual" needs of Colorado City's fundamentalist's. LOL.

Those RZRs, Can Ams, and especially Arctic Cats have a reputation for catching on fire. My suggestion, Stop Fyre fire extinguishers. Halon based gas, less corrosion damage than dry chem, and instant fire suppression. You will never see an inexpensive fire.

Toroweep is the narrowest gap between North & South rim of Grand Canyon. Has least visitation due to remoteness and 130 miles of dirt roads.

Our 1997 Jeep Cherokee bust a transmission fluid line right at the Tuweep Overlook. See we got a trailer tow back to Kanab and had an unplanned stay, using a rental vehicle in the interim. I had to wait a while at the Tuweep Ranger Station, so the chief ranger brought out the book about John Riffey for me to read while waiting. John Riffey worked most of his life out there as a Ranger (all disciplines), and is buried there!

I went to the Grand Canyon in 1981, but on the other side. Our first sight of the canyon was actually a side canyon, but still it wowed us. Picture or video doesn’t do it justice. I took over 75 slides, but none of them looked as spectacular as seeing it first hand. I wish I could go back, but my health doesn’t allow it.

I used to enjoy going out to Tuweep to camp and many times I would be the only person there. Great place to go hide when I worked on the south rim. Don’t remember the name of the ranger in the 90’s but was interesting to talk to because he did a lot of exploring. I think they closed the 2 campsites right on the edge and they closed some other roads. Found an area where they had cemented rocks into catch basins for water. The ranger had found a ladder made from barbed wire to climb down into part of the canyon. He was going to rope up and explore it.
