Question about 34s at 8:56 Is this some kind of expolit or a mistake? Solver shows this as 0.5bb mistake vs 1/3 sizing. Its probably smaller vs 1/4 but most likely still negative.

Exploit due to texture being overbluffed and under defended. At keast that's how I interpreted what Pete said during play.

What factors are you considering when flatting from the SB? For a long time I simplified to raise or fold, but recently started incorporating after working through CPS Grade 1 and most of 2 as I feel more comfortable overall at the table. Before flatting I check (1) aggression level of the BB player and (2) typically like the initial raiser to be a rec or bad reg. Is that being too restrictive? Do you have specific guidelines you think through?

TrueEV is the replayer, as I like the look at your pot odds.

Pete, on the 55 hand where the board runs out 9cJd5d 3s 6s I guess we are not "afraid" the villian might have flopped open-ended w/8T TQ, or could have a diamond draw? or 67 or 78 for gutshot? those are hand we could extract value from as we charge them for their draws. is that not a thing anymore, or is it too small a part of their range to worry about? I still adhere to the "old" idea that if you want to win a big pot, you have to build it, combined with "if they have nothing, they are not going to call any bet anyway" (of course, that was before GTO, lol. now people call MUCH wider, but that should help us anyway) I grind my teeth when I watch some of the streamers flop gin, then check 3 streets. I am NOT saying you played it wrong. I realize it's me that has the "outdated" thinking. but I am trying to get my head around the strategy you employed here. and you did snag 8BB on river, which is not nothing, so there is that. ed.
