The creativity for kids brand is usually seen in dollar stores, whereas regular Faber Castell kits are found in regular stores. Creativity For Kits is basically their cheapo brand essentially. You get what you pay for.

The problem is these kits are targeted at children and children as a group never use the black or brown. They're poo-y and boring colours. Children would use all the colours and have the brown left. They don't tend to outline, more whichever colour they drew the image in is the outline left once they've coloured in. Parents would also dislike black as it is often a stainy messy colour.

I actually don’t mind the paint in the 2nd one. You’re meant to put a white base coat on your rock, just like anything you paint that is not white. If you want your colors to be vibrant, always use a base of white
