Maybe it's what I call the 'reverse buyology' effect: the cheaper and better they are, the more you buy. If you buy one expensive one, and it's crap, you're not gonna buy another one, whereas if it's good, you might buy one as a Christmas present. If you buy a cheap one and it's crap, you're not gonna buy another one. If it's good, though, you're gonna go 'omg that's such great value!' and go out and buy like 6 more for all the kids for Christmas. So, since NerdE likes the numbers (pretending all cost is profit): 1 crap kit at $20 - $20 profit 1 good kit at $20 - $20 profit plus a rebuy, so $40 1crap kit at $10 - $10 profit 1 good kit at $10 - $10 profit plus the 'excitement multi-rebuy' = $70 That means a higher profit margin, therefore the ability to buy decent quality ingredients and still sell it cheap, because they're paying their own ingredient cost plus enticing multi-buys

This is a great example of companies who can make basic, good quality kits. It doesn't have to be complicated with 5 types of bath bombs that don't work. One project done well for not much money works really well.

We bought the so slime in August last year. It's still good! It is slightly more putty like than a "slimey" slime, but it's still going great! It's great for the fart sounds 😂😂 We had the so bomb kit too. It worked really well for us! And, bonus, it gives you the recipe! So you can easily go out and buy the ingredients and use the mould to make new ones. We've made a bunch since.

I've got the So Slime DIY slime kits before. They had a tube of 8 different containers on sale for AU$20, which is pretty good value. That kit had a variety of container colours, slime colours, glitter colours/shapes and little toys. The slime does actually last for a while in the container, even if it sometimes gets a little on the thick side - think putty/chewing gum wad rather than apple sauce. The only issue I had was when I put some essential oils in so it had a scent, that made parts of the slime crunchy. I haven't seen that play dough kit, but I've seen another one that might interest you. It was a Play-Doh Touch kit. You don't really need to buy that specific kit to use the app though, you just make your own creature/shape with Play-Doh then place it on a white background. Then you can play a platform game and some other things within the app (the app is called "Play-Doh Touch"). That might interest you and the grains? So DIY has another kit which is making a "magic jar". It's basically making coloured glitter water and putting it in a jar with a colour-changing LED (colour-changing LEDs must be a cheap component to make, given they're in so many cheap toys). I've been meaning to get some bath bombs, but even the cheapest bath bombs are like $5-6 each at the moment. And I know those ones will disappoint me.

I had the bigger version of the so bomb bath bombs! They worked so well! I was hoping you would try it! We also made tons of patterns with it! I put blue and green together! And yellow and green! And pink and purple and some other combinations. The bigger one shows you how to do patterns in the instructions!
