It would be interesting to see a series where you “re-DIY” the DIY kits- like you can get cheap acrylic paint, a canvas, glue and gold leaf for a lot cheaper than that kit. And if you want a scraper, it’s easy enough to make one out of cardboard. Then compare your homemade DIY kit to the store- bought one

When I was a kid, I had a 'Stained Glass' Care Bears kit. It had the metal outlines and the coloured granules. They came out a lot nicer than your kit. It's such a shame, because it CAN work, and my kit was a kids' kit from like the 80's, so it's not like this is a new invention they have to figure out!

So the stain glass kit reminds me of what we had as a kid. It’s exact. We always used tweezers to put them in, as you found out. It was the best way. I recognized the stained glass 'granule' kit. I made several of them back in the early (cough) 1980's as a little girl. I remembered the strong chemical smell of the little plastic bits melting together in the oven. I am not telling you you are doing it wrong. I do suggest having another go with the kit. Really pile on the plastic bits, mound them up nice and high and you will most likely get a more smooth and consistent result. Thank you for brining back happy crafting memories from my childhood.

Jackie's students are so lucky to have such a wonderful person as their teacher
Love the video Jackie, you've really encouraged me to get back into art, although not through craft kits

The melting crystals aren't new... I remember doing those when I was a kid in the 80s

Back in the 1970’s we had those stained glass kits with crystals. They were usually cartoon characters. They came with suction caps so you could stick them to your window. Then in the 90’s I bought them for my kids. I know they had smurf sets and my little pony sets. I loved them and they always worked well.

@12:34 this is my life everytime I attempt to make crafts. If it can go wrong or I can screw it up- imma figure it out... Never fails. I'm a VERY craft minded person- all in my head. But when it comes to actually doing them, not so much😂😂

My mom used to have stained glass Christmas ornaments that she made in the late 80s probably. The box looks like a similar process, so I’m hoping that one works.

Me: _Hey, Geode Canvas can be fu...n..._ *Takes a magnifying glass* ENHANCE! VAT IS TIS?! "Exagonale"?! It is "Hexagonale", you pedestrian! Anyway, I'm most hopeful on this one, despite the typo.
