I'm an art student , those graphite pencils are bad. That is not how those pencils should look when you use them. If you look closely they are all the same lead but slightly different. They all look like a 2B-3B. 2H is suppose to be way lighter then that even if you press hard. Those pencils are a lie. We used STAEDTLER graphite which is really cheap and good quality. Amazon is bleh!

I once got some colored pencils that made me feel like I was going color blind. The names did not come close to describing the colors. Burnt umber for hot pink, lime green for olive green, purple for a deep blue... it was crazy. I got out my labeler and renamed most of the pencils in the pack. 😂

​@@s6ac891 You can visit Arteza's website I think they have names on everything and they are good quality.They have pencils,markers pens,pastels,paints,papers,art sets and a lot more arteza.co.uk/ I wrote this after writing the things down below but this brand is good so you might wanna check it out. Cheeper brands don't usually have color names on them but there is colored pencils by Artist's Loft. You can buy them at micheals. Here is a link if you want to look at them www.michaels.com/colored-pencils-fundamentals-by-artists-loft-36ct/10124971.html If you have the money to buy more expencive colored pencils you can get Faber Castell Polychromos,Prismacolors or Derwent colored pencils. For markers you can get Touchfive markers for really cheap they have color names on the cap but they are alcohol markers so they will bleed trough the paper so you need to buy paper for that or you can get paint markers like Posca markers they are fun to work with but they are pricey too.

bUt JAcKiE yOURe dOinG it WRONG You're supposed to hold the pencil still and instead rotate the pencil sharpener. Prismacolour officials recommend it to minimise breakage since premium supplies generally have softer cores. But plastic sharpeners are definitely trash 🤮

Hey jackie! I dont know if you've had a kneaded eraser before, but when you first take them out og the package your shoulf knead them in your hands for a couple minutes to loosen it up, and tgen once your done roll it into a ball and dab it onto the area you woukd like to lighten. Unlike regular erasers youre not supposed ti drag it across thr page :) also place it in a sealed bag so it doesnt "dry out" and get stiff (that happened to me when i first bought one)

Putting the color names on the actual markers can help color blind people to differentiate two colors like the most common ones green and red you can fix that by just putting grassy green and cherry red on the markers

I agree that the colour names should be put on for this reason. It would also help differentiate between different shades of pink. Some people don't have colour blindness but have difficulty telling the difference between similar shades

Hey Jackie! If you want to get rid of fruit flies, get some bottles of apple cider vinegar, pour some out of the bottles and place the bottles open around your house. The fruit flies will go in the bottle and not be able to fly out. Once you notice the fruit flies in the bottles, close the bottles up and toss them. No more fruit flies. 😋

Just to put it out there, for anyone who is genuinely trying to get into realism with graphite I absolutely recommend shelling out the money for a more expensive set of pencils. Personally I love Caran D’Ache, but they can get a bit pricey and Prismacolor is a good alternative. I say this because cheaper alternatives scratch the paper really easily, especially is your heavy handed, this makes smooth blends practically impossible. I wouldn’t bother buying the Amazon’s basics because you’ll likely get very frustrated. Also just as a tip, most of the time it’s cheaper to by just a set of graded pencils and blending stumps separately! Feel free to get the cheaper blending stumps, they work just as well as the high end ones

Honestly, even with a proper sharpener it can be difficult to get charcoal pencils to a nice sharp point. In art class we used a rough sandpaper to help sharpen them without having to jump up to use the sharpener every 30 seconds. I also use a pocket knife to help me sharpen charcoal pencils, though I'm sure your sharp pointy thing will work just fine.

My electric kettle is from amazon basics and it's one of my favorite kitchen appliances. I'm a daily tea drinker who also really loves soups and having hot water available in less than 2 minutes is just fabulous! The basics products are decent as a "starter" option for people who are unfamiliar with certain products or who are moving out on their own and need to fill up a sad dorm or a new apartment.

When you activate slime it’s okie to over-activate. If you let it sit for awhile the slime would be good. But if you put an okie a amount of activator. Make sure to put the slime some where cold. So it doesn’t melt

Ohhh that traditional pencil set is about as good as the one I put together for my college class. Trick with the charcoal pencils I always use a pocket knife to sharpen them. I honestly have never found a sharper that really reliable does a good job on those. I don’t consider myself an artist but I love drawing.

Yes to the fruit fly issue (especially when I have lemons) - try putting a little apple cider vinegar or balsamic vinegar (not malt) in a little shallow bowl and then stretch some cling wrap over the top and poke a couple of small holes in it with a cocktail stick. the flies will climb in the holes and get stuck and they won't bother you
