The reason Jazza's art boxes are so much better that a lot of other ones is that he himself is an artist and he clearly values the input of other artists in the online community when putting these boxes together. He is his target buyer so he knows what other artists are more likely to find useful.
@headbox20034 жыл бұрын
Absolutely agree. He loves it and it really shows in his products.
@totoro-chan77004 жыл бұрын
Can't agree more. Jackie also mentioned, she knows Jazza is also as picky as she is, I can't stop smiling thinking about this fact. And may be it is just my guess but every artist I know is picky and people who have ability to gather an artbox for beginners that is this high quality and affordable (yes I notice the price, but I say so in comparison with other crappy craftboxes and premium not-for-us-peasants ones) and have such great influence as Jazza are difficult to find, like the odds are one in million

Plus, he is a great person and not just in it for the money!

You can tell this is something he put a lot of time and care into not only because of the quality of the boxes themselves but how excited he is in the video he posted where he unboxed everything himself.
@LaynieFingers4 жыл бұрын
That and he actually cares about the products he puts his name on. There are people who want to maximize profits so they put out crap, and then there are people like Jazza who are more interested in product quality. I may be biased, but he genuinely seems to care about his fans... 😄

Model horse customizer pro tip for superglue: Use a pinch (quite literally JUST a pinch) of baking soda on the area with the glue, it will bond and dry INSTANTLY! You MAY need to go in with fine sandpaper or small files if you get a build-up (IF you're aiming for a smooth surface), but you will never have problems with superglue adhesion ever again. But for what you did with the Mech it would work fantastically in your favour. (and here I thought I was the only one that sniffed supplies!!! Even with things you shouldn't sniff!!! Looking at you glues, paints, resin, Apoxie, sandpapers, files...Don't judge me!!! :P ) I can't WAIT to see you try your hand at Calligraphy! I'm going to have to invest in this box kit!!! So many fun things to play with!!!!

Super glue fix: If you put super glue on one piece and tacky glue on the other piece they have an almost instant connection. And then over time the super glue will harden in other places too but the tacky glue helps so much! That's my mini-making tip of the day lol ;)
@lazyhomebody13564 жыл бұрын
That's a tip for a lifetime!
@FishieDr4 жыл бұрын
Superglue reacts to moisture. That's why sticking 2 pieces of plastic together often doesn't work, but you glue your fingers together super easily. The tacky glue provides an adhesive source of moisture to get the cyanoacrolate in the super glue to harden. I'd never heard of that tip, but that's why it works and I shall be filing it away in the vault!

Edit: Senpai noticed me 😭 My dad gonna be so proud I'm helping others 😭😭💕 (If you are into crafts also read this, it really works!) Hi Jackie! A tip from my dad to work with all types of glue (not only superglue): First study how you want to glue the pieces, move them around etc. After you decided the position, clean the surfaces of the pieces where you actually will put the glue on with rubbing alcohol AND DONT TOUCH IT ANYMORE directly (if needed use gloves), just carefully drip the glue and stick them together however you planned. Also, different types of glues work differently according to the material you are using. So a great glue for plastic is sometimes not good enough for paper or a clay figurine, etc. Make sure to always have and test different types of glues around :D Either way always clean up the surface with alcohol bc the oils on our skin is what ruin glues in general 😅 Plz like so Jackie can see it! It really helps!!
@isabelaneves53294 жыл бұрын
Not glue-related now: Loved the kits, I already knew Jazza and knowing he is selling kits only made me proud of him. And you explaining and reviewing it too? Awesome! I really love your creations and tinycrafts, very different from this mecha you did today. But nonetheless I liked it too! YOU GO SCULPTING QUEEN, YOU GO!! Also, really looking foward to see your future creations using this new supplies too, specially the more flexible monster clay in the my little pony series!! @@scandinavegan274 good point! I was yelling at my phone "but Jackie...the spikey tool...!" but hadn't thought of this. For Super-glue a thing I learned working with minis is that if you apply the glue and sprinkle a bit of baking powder over it (I alway cover the whole Super-glue and then remove the excess baking powder) to make it cure instantly. Blew my mind when I first tried it. Pro tip try it on a test piece first. Just a drop on a piece of paper is a good start :D Also the Super-glue will turn opaque so if you need it clear this is not the way to go. Hope this helps with glueing in the future o/

For what its worth, i have painted fantasy gaming minis for decades and this was a great vid! You were dead on about the quality of the kit and its contents and you did a really cool job on the diorama you did with the fallen warrior. Hope to see more of these types from the channel in the future.

Oh man! So bummed I could not afford this collection! so Amazing. I tried to squeeeeeeeeeze just one box out of the budget, I opted for the Inky box (hard choice!) but when I got to the checkout and is was converted to NZ Dollars.... I had to slowly back away from the "complete order" button, it was heart breaking. I'm so hoping he does another collection some time down the road when I'm in a better place. Thanks for letting us plebs enjoy the product too 😆 I loved this unboxing best as you took more time with each of the boxes so It was a bit less overwhelming as a viewer. I look forward to see someone as talented as you are with the mediums you know play with a medium you are unfamiliar with. I hope you fall in love with it too.

As a low-pressure suggestion; do you think your brother might be interested in doing a minatures episode for the channel some time? I think it would be neat to see the dynamics where there's you and Sika AND him working together on something.

i got the biggest dose of nostalgia seeing the aleene's glue. my nana was a crafter and she ONLY used aleene's. if the stores were out, she wouldn't do any crafting that had to be glued until she got her aleene's glue. she also had several sets of aleene's crafting videos. i still have them, but haven't watched them in years. i didn't expect to be emotional about glue, but here i am, crying because aleene's was a staple in my house for the longest time, but we no longer have a need for it and we have so many unopened bottles. nana passed in september of 2020 so it's still fresh for me, but this was a happy memory.

When it comes to the calligraphy, I imagine myself writing a fancy letter in older English while wearing colonial clothes and a powdered George Washington wig. 😆 Idkw.

I recently got into calligraphy and I think it's really fun. just relax, sometimes I just scribble around until I like it. it's definitely scary at first but once you remember you have the creative freedom it gets a lot more... interesting. Hope this helps!

Resin minis benefit from a bath before assembly and painting to get rid of the mould release agent. That wouldn’t have helped it stick together.

When you said, my channel originally was for sculpting, I remembered that is how I followed you in the first place. You had less than 100k subs but still I liked to learn with your sculptures. Now I check the subs and you have more than 1M omg time flies. Keep up the good work. I wish I could order this box to Europe but too much money for shipping

THE INK BOX INTRIGUES ME SO MUCH! I love the sculpt box! I just love crafting and learning about new crafts. A lot of these tools can be used for other stuff too! Like I could use the silicone tools for resin stuff I do.
