I got one that looked almost exactly to this from Goodwill in Indianapolis. I had it for about a year before I found out it wasn't a kids tree swing (lol) guy gave me $400 for it and now it's mounted on a wall along with old motors, oars etc at his house at Giest reservoir.

I have wanted to build one of these with my Dad for over 30 years. Do you have a suggestion on what plans are best to use? Are there any of these that are "sit in" as opposed to "kneel on"? At 46yrs old, my knees don't bend so good anymore. He's 67, so definitely won't be able to ride a kneel on design.
