Cashier finally knows that, no matter what he wants to do, he will still be stuck in this game, so he learns to accept it. It’s a really bittersweet message, it shows how the Cashier truly feels about himself now. I’m glad you made this video. We needed the Cashier closure we needed.

IDK why, but the Cashier telling Dummy that he accepted that he could stay doing his job forever and not mind made me really sad. He has all the time in the world now, but doesn’t even act on it because he’s done his job for who knows how long. He deserves better.

i love how well this captures what vague understanding we have of the characters personalities and feelings the cashier- out of a learned helplessness- accepts his shallow position in a dingy convenience store, but even then he has his own moral conscience, with working, shoplifting, trashing etc. dummy is am npc that is meant to help the player and the world by taking in all the information by orby. theyre an npc meant to help fix bugs and maintain in the void observing the worlds corruptions, but you can see that they feel depressed about staying in one place. they're expressed feelings of happiness with cashier during their break time in the players place in the end during the finale ending, cashier was tapking about how dummy mqy not have been able to take in all the information, but then dummy explains how they are able to handle it because all npcs are built differently. cashier took that personally, saying that they just indirectly called them dumb. i think in a lot of ways that attributed to their despondency about their existence- and only pushed cashier further towards a nihilistic acceptance. its incredibly bittersweet!!! this is why i love get a snack at 4 am i love i love its such a small treasure

That last point about what Dummy said to the cashier in the finale makes their silence in the end of this video even darker. It’s almost as if they’re realizing that what they said might’ve been more hurtful than they thought it’d be.

i've been waiting for an opinion of a character. any character. mad or not. never did i EVER think the person content with where they are would be cashier. it's shocking but it makes sense at the same time. i never knew i needed this conversation to happen. idk why but after i watched the video i just paused for a second thinking about it. man... i thought it was gonna be a joke with how Dummy bursted through the door and shit, but it actually gave closure to Cashier. i never knew i needed that closure. thank you for this video Stixxal
