I grew up in Harlem, so I know this area very WELL. I didn't like going into THIS Burger King location because of the criminal activity in and around that location. But the last time I passed by there, they did have security patrolling the door, etc. My prayers and condolences are being sent to the family and friends of this young lady. 😔😔😔

This was a completely heartless and egregious crime. In a typical armed robbery, the robber doesn't want to kill, he just wants the 💰 and will leave the victims unharmed. This guy was different. This wasnt a case in which the victims fought back, or the gun went off by mistake, or the gunman thought the victims were reaching for a weapon. This was a case of a murderer who just wanted to kill. The victims cooperated with the robber and he shot her anyway.

Living in East Harlem the last several years it's gone from bad to worse. 2 years ago never saw cop cars stationed 24/7 around the corners like they are now. 116 and Lexington ave, late night is full of Sherm heads and homeless hanging out in front of the same BK where the cashier got gunned down. Horrific because clowns in the neighborhood get interviewed and say they're shocked by this. As a resident I hear this and am saying most High God thank you it wasn't me or any of my family that this happened to. Prayers and heartfelt condolences go out to the victim and her family. This gun violence has long since been out of control. And now we're (law abiding citizens) stuck between desperate low life no morals criminals and cops who see all of us who reside here and earn an honest living as one in the same with the criminals.
