I just love Cashmere Cat's producing style. The abstract percussion is amazing, along with the manipulation of vocal samples. Don't even get me started on the whole composition; his songs don't repeat as nearly as much as other songs. The songs just progress into a beautiful symphony that sounds near to impossible to form without extreme luck. . . there's so much more I could say, but I don't want to have a wall of text that huge.

Of all the Trap artists out there Cashmere Cat is way ahead of the game musically. This is not easily produced. Those are real composition. Lot of really inspired percussion, use of bells, xylophone and harp is really original.

A long and incredibly annoying story time regarding (how I discovered) cashmere cat. You probably shouldn’t read it because it would be a waste of time. Don’t say I didn’t warn you. It’s not interesting or good in any way. I just have adhd and over sharing problems ~ enjoy Ironically I discovered cashmere cat through a girl I did not like who was a total weirdo to me in rehab. Story time, gather round children. A few years ago, something happened. (Lol) I had been seriously severely ill physically and mentally and was killing myself with substances at that point in my life. I have been an addict since age fourteen (will be twenty three in August) and it has been a living hell. I was at that point heavily heavily abusing cocaine and xanax as well as the occasional pain killer, marijuana (not counting this bc it does not kill but rather save lives) and drinking. Also was doing dumb ass shit like ccc dxm and horrible designer drugs. got home one day and laid down in bed to rest after a long night of using n was trying to sleep when this man id never seen in my life walked right up into my room with handcuffs that he mace sure I saw and was all “do you know who I am” I’m like what the fuxk ofc not n he told me im coming with him ?? So I’m like wtf and I go downstairs to ask my mom who the fuck this weird dude is and my moms crying dad looks a little too happy to be getting rid of me and my suitcase is packed (AINT EVEN GET TO PACK MY OWN SHIT). (Bc they knew I would have ran out that bitch so fast... like they had to do it exactly the way they did it) I realized what was happening and broke down. I was then forced in a car, to the airport, on a plane, on a train, in a bus, and another car, before arriving at a rehab facility twelve hours from my home, cried the entire way.. when 3 hours before I was in bed trying to relax and come down about to go back to my (at the time) boyfriends house and hang out. So thats how I ended up in broward county twelve hour drive from home. An invasive and non-consensual drug intervention, as a child. I completely understand and though I was very angry hurt and felt so betrayed by my own folks then, I very well could have died at that point in my life very very soon after that day if not day of had my parents not made that decision. And they knew that. They saved my life and I really am so grateful especially because my mother loves me so much and I know how hard it was for her to do that- to call an interventionist and have him take me away from her like that and to see the horror confusion and betrayal in my eyes- esp against my will wishes and knowledge completely. but she pushed through that hesitation of losing me for a few months and possibly causing me to be upset with her to save my life because she loves me and didn’t want to lose me forever. I am eternally grateful. I owe her my life. Her and joe, my interventionist. He ended up helping me a LOT. And I learned many things from him. He was a wonderful man. Fun fact (not fun but u understand) Joe (interventionist)‘s dad was a guy who made mafia guys, captured them, and then collected bounty for wanted rewards from police and other gangs. Long story short, John gotti himself killed him. Joes dad was murdered by literal John gotti. Anyways. A long while after I got there, Sydney did. She was kicked out of her previous rehab for passing notes with a dude that were essentially sexting on paper. Lmfao. So that’s weird at. And she was in rehab for court orders. Girl literally had the most “I’m so much better at recovery than you and I’m going to make sure everyone is aware I think that” attitude and shit was gross like ma’am it’s not a competition lmfao. And maybe you’re “better at recovery” bc u know if u fail u go to jail babe. Also they didn’t let us smoke cigs or have any form of nicotine even tho we were all coming off hard drugs (dicks.😒) (not even nic patches w our parents consent- which my mom would have given) and my genius ass discovered how to use basic magnets to disable the back door alarms and locks of our residential so I could leave my room at night without the alarm blaring, climb the fence and prance down the sketchy ass streets of south broward county in the middle of night and go to the corner store to buy cigs in my scrubs at age 16 lmfaooo and she did everything in her power to make sure I got in deep trouble and looked like a demon lmfao then literally looked down on me for a month talkin shit all that after that. shit was done so damn condescendingly like she was the queen n I’m the horrible peasant that killed a child or some shit lmfao. like were in group next day and she’s all “I can’t believe you did that. So horrible.” And had she not spoken w her dumb ass nobody would have known I even left bc I got back in w/o a single flaw lol. I did it to help every one of us get a smoke bc we were heavy stressing insane belligerent and very angry addict teenagers who were all just forced to get clean off everything n they took our nicotine too n that shit SUCKED. I was literally saving hoes out there and she ruined it all lol. For everyone. I obviously didn’t like her but thanks Sydney for informing me about cc
