Me being biased aside, Stell I feel is the most gifted Filipino singer of this generation if you talk about the OVERALL ASPECTS and TECHNICALITIES of singing. Like there's no weak spot for him. This doesn't include THE BEST SOUNDING VOICE because this is VERY SUBJECTIVE or will depend on personal taste or preference.

His vocal range as a child is astounding, and I've admired him and Morrissette since I first heard them. When puberty strikes, his low register thought becomes his power.

@@CCSupernova I was a fan of Darren during his The Voice stint and after and I still believe to this day that he should have won. He is a very gifted singer although some of his techniques were peculiar, which is one of my arguments here. I remember vividly that not all coaches turned their chairs on him during his audition and that says a lot. But that doesn't change my view of him as a great singer. But when he hit the puberty stage, everything changed. His voice has seen its better days, that for sure.

Stell is indeed the cream of the crop among the main vocals of bg's. Most fans familiar with him usually find his talent unsurprising thus less recognition or accolades are given him. He's the soul of SB19 that without his vocals SB19 will never be the same. Honestly, he's the reason why I am a fan of the group. He got me in Hanggang sa Huli and Tilaluha but I saw them first in What. After listening to Wish Bus' HsH I can't stop replaying over and over esp repeating his part. I know most fans are after appearance/ visuals but nah I am for talent. Thanks for highlighting Stell in this vid. SUBSCRIBED.

*Stell* is really good, no doubt. Pang-belting and great vocal control. *Mo* of Alamat is underrated though. i think the quality of Mo’s voice is very RNB. i don’t think he overdoes his vocal acrobatic skills. parang pinilit lang na naghanap ng cons para lang ma-justify lalo na #1 si Stell at #2 si Mo. Pwede pa rin naman #1 si Stell without force-finding a fault at Mo’s acrobatic vocal skills.

I've seen all of the voice coaches/experts' reaction videos on Stell's vocal abilities and they were all in awe. Not heard a single criticism ever. All praises. They said he has angelic tone, range is insane, and impeccable control. They added that a lot can definitely belt but the technique when coming off every belt is something that Stell has mastered because he doesn't need riffs and runs going down from the belt just to avoid "accidents" or sharp/flats but just straight clean tone. All of them in unison have said that his shifting in between registers is so spotless and very resonant and those are very hard skills. The quality of his voice from chest voice to his mixed and head voice don't change that it's hard to tell them apart which they said is very rare. Also, most belters struggle in lower register but Stell's low tones are like butter to the ears. He is just on a another league they said. And the best part is that he does all of these effortlessly and even when sitting down. That's SB19's main vocals and HEAVENLY VOICE for you.

And btw, my daughter graduated with double Major in Accounting and Nursing with Minor in Music and a Piano graduate as well. She won several State competitions both in vocal and piano and she praises Stell so much. She said he has an excellent voice quality and so much control and more using music terms, lol. She has Tilaluha and HSH in her playlist.

True. Ever since I've been a fan just March of this year, I've watched and listened to ALL THE REACTORS describing Stell's extraordinary style of singing- and they all agree that his ACCURACY AND RANGE IS INSANE- his resonance has a "gorgeous" quality to it that makes his dynamics ridiculously amazing. Those words coming from people with real music and theater backgrounds (as coaches, teachers, mentors and artists themselves) are NOT BS. You can even say that Stell can easily rival any member in a more popular international pop group out there. He only needs more exposure. Instead of doubting him, let's make sure he gets the exposure he deserves. This young man worked so hard to achieve such perfection (in the words of reactors). Stell's skills are no joke. Agreeing about Stell. He can even compete on singing competitions. He can do ballad and pop effortlessly. Mostly kasi ng mga ballad singers, hirap sila pagdating sa Pop. Sobrang wide ng range nya, and lagi syang in control. Minsan nakakalimutan narin ng iba, ako rin minsan, na i-credit sya sa bawat performance, kasi expected na he'll always nail it. Sya yung tipo na alam mong hindi sasablay and will always deliver what's expected of him. Next for me is Mo din. Ang galing din ng singing skills and range ng batang yan. Awesome. I saw a video of brutally honest vocal ranking of kpop gg. Interesting coz the voice over ranker focused on tones, vocal techniques and vocal dynamics. Mo and Pablo are both an anomaly and they can both take 2nd spot for me. It is really rare for someone as vocally talented as them to be able to rap as good as they are at singing. You barely see that in kpop but in PPOP we have 2 and both are leaders in their group. Makes me so proud to be living in the same country as these talented artists. I’m waiting for Viva to utilize their writers and collaborate with the members so they can create a monster hit since most of my favorite song writers are signed under Viva. They do be doing a shitty job at managing their artists especially their groups (XLR8 and Pop Girls anyone?) except for the really popular ones and they’re mostly actors🤬

Same thoughts kay Mo actually. Sobrang ganda ng vocals niya and knows how to control it well. If you know Thyro Alfaro, may similarities sila ng vocals. I watched the PPOPCON yesterday, tama si Chuck si Stell yung pinaka best ang vocals; yung mga main vocals ng ibang group pag bumirit na masakit dating sa tenga parang pasigaw ang dating unlike yung kay Stell buong buo ang voice and very pleasing sa ears; just my opinion, a 61 year old grandma here😀.

In my humble opinion , STELL is in a different league , he sounds like a very seasoned singer someone that has mastered his vocal abilities, so he sounds very stable and confident . What really sets him apart is the QUALITY of his voice .

Agreed with 1 and 2. It's a pleasant surprise to see Mo's name after Stell. I agree on your takes with his vocal prowess though I disagree with him being overly acrobatic. 😅😂 Stell has an angelic voice and a really high range (for male standards), his belting is clear and piercing packed with a good vibrato. Personally, I tend to latch on to voices with a natural rasp (like Pablo, Josh, and Ken) since it adds more flavour and expression to a song (imo) - which I don't think I've heard from Stell (his voice is not naturally raspy, I mean!), but it's just my personal preference! 😄

Mahalo for taking the time to compile this list. I was a choir director for many years, and I'm pretty much in agreement with your analysis and ranking for the top 5. Yes, Stell and Mo are very gifted singers, born with amazing ranges and can perform "vocal calisthenics". From what I've learned, they didn't begin with formal training at young ages, (some of singers mentioned were not formally trained either), which makes it even more impressive to have attained these caliber of singing abilities. Might I also suggest perhaps putting Pablo( SB19) in the top ten, as his voice has strong range and unique timbre.

I totally agree with your ranking. For me Stell is right on another planet! But I'm rooting so much for Max and Franz, I'm sure they will improve a lot over time and with practice. I can see the great potential they have with their vocals. Actually, all of them have a lot of potential and I hope they'll continue to grow as we've seen with Stell. He is the perfect example of how you can start with a beautiful voice and continue to improve more and more with practice and time and above all with the true love for singing. Growing up as a choir member (Church/UCLA Gospel Choir) I can attest that Stell is a BEAST in vocal prowess! Rarely do you meet a male vocalist with Soprano-Level range (I'm a Tenor but can reach Alto levels so I know how difficult it is to reach that upper range). One of my favorite male vocalist of all time is Bruno Mars...Stell is in that same league. If we combine Stell's high range and Pablo's raspy tone....you get Bruno Mars! LOL Thanks for the insights of the various Main Vocalists of P-Pop groups (I only followed SB19 in the Philippines)! Definitely P-Pop has a strong potential to go international as everyone keeps improving their skills!

I've been a vocal trainee when I'm in primary school and usually piano talaga ang training ng voice namin. 2nd option na lang ang guitar. For me, tama itong rankings na ito. Stell is a very versatile artist. And yes, pasok sa tunog ng piano ang boses nya as well as acoustic that's what makes him versatile. He can do any techiniques. Siguro dahil na din palagi siyang nagppractice. Stell's voice is amazing. Kung tawagin namin ito sa voice level ng lalake ay countertenor.

To be honest, I haven't heard most of the Ppop group aside from SB19. So for me, my top three forthis group are. First, Stell for his falsetto and vocal techniques = crystal clear voice. Next is Pablo for being an all around singer, can do ballad, and rapping, he also has a distinct voice. And last is Ken with his signature deep voice that makes him sexy(for me). ☺ But thank for this, Chuck. Will check them out.

Hi Chuck, i agree with your ranking of the best voice in singing in several categories. Si Stell nga ang pinaka-best among those you mentioned. Galing ng High notes niya, no difficulties in singing especially high notes. Easy lang sya at hindi hinihingal.He is really a gifted singer. The rest are very good singers din but maybe they have to practice more and experiment their vocals using other notes, kung kaya ba nila or hindi. Kung saang notes sila mas magaling kumanta, improve pa more nila para mahasa at masanay ang vical chords nila. Practice makes perfect ,ika nga , di ba ? Thank you for this reaction video you made.
