Casio A158 Display Color Filter and Nato Strap Modification

I'm back and I have something new to show you. Lately I noticed display mods getting done using color filters rather than polarisers. Guys from channels ‪@WatchingCasio‬ and @watchNcarry are doing great job with their modifications and like every competent youtuber I decided to copy them, go watch and follow them now!
Combining color gels with different nato straps can get pretty awesome combinations. This is Casio A158 is one of them! Thanks for watching and subscribing!

Great video. You inspired me to get a A168 to mod. Amazon said it just arrived, but sadly it's at my college apartment, and I'm home due to classes moving online. Hopefully I'll get to mess around with it soon!

Las modificaciones en el color del del filtro de la pantalla LCD me parecen fascinantes. Son algo simple de hacer, pero siempre aportan algo nuevo; un toque de frescura al estilo del reloj. Gran video.

Thanks for your vid! Tried this out with my own A158. Question I have is about how you get the colour gel to sit in place - do you need it to be fastened by both the top and bottom of the white plastic screen window? I can get the bottom lip to fasten over the gel too, but then it curves out a bit which means it will catch the light a lot once it's all closed up. Not a dealbreaker but wondering how you get it to stay where it is and stay flat

Yes, that thing is annoying!!! I found that if it's under the upper lip the result is much better. Another way is to fix a bigger piece to the crystal itself.

Is there a reason to why you didn’t insert the spring bars first then feed the strap rather than placing the strap and then fidgeting the bars around ?

There is very little spaces between the spring bar and the watch impossible to squeeze it in :)

Hey there, I was looking for a good beater watch to put on a Nato strap. Confused between the 158 and 168. Saw both your videos. I really like both the watches but I have a feeling that the 168 with the extra bulk looks a little disproportionate with the Nato. Which one, in your opinion, looks better on a Nato?

Not sure what's the strap width... To change it a flat head recision screwdriver is enough.

What is the obsession with the nato straps? They do not fit with the watch face. At all. 90% of the so-called Casio mods are just guys putting these stupid straps on.

I tried once with a similar strap. After a few weeks of daily use, those pins popped out.
