Frankly, I just want a watch that's going to show me the Day/Date/Time. In a display large enough for my 69 year old eyes to see/read. I ordered this and it's supposed to arrive today. Being retired military and law enforcement I also like being able to see the time display to 24 hour military time. After 43 years, that's the time conversion I'm totally comfortable with. Thanks for the review dude. Good job.

I just got the black one with the negative screen. It's been ages since I bought a Casio. Was looking at the basic G-Shock's and for some reason this just looked better on my wrist. The value is unreal. It's got high legibility, 10 atm water resist, lightweight, chronograph, alarms, dual time, that cool 10 second countdown animation, and a 10 year battery.

Is it still legible ??? It's not mineral glass but resin so I think after some time with some scratches the legibility will not be there. so I'm really in dilemma whether or not to buy the negative display one.

@@pramishregmi5321 I've been wearing mine for months and yes it's as legible as the day I got it. Negative displays aren't going to be as clear as the normal display in darker settings or at certain angles, but this one is crisp and looks so cool on the wrist. Also resin isn't bad. Yes it may get scratches, but so does mineral. Resin is also durable and a material that is very hard to break.

I have 12 G-shocks...and about 20 other Casio's. These are a 'home run'. Better than a G-shock in many ways. Heading right over to Amazon now. Amazing beater watches.

nice review. 100m doesn't necessarily mean it's 300ft of water depth. It's just a pressure rating that is good for diving deep in a pool which is probably enough for most.

Casio needs to stop putting the features of the watches printed on the bezel or the face of the watch. If you bought it, you know it. It just looks silly. I look forward to getting one of these but I’m definitely removing the “10 year battery” inscription on the bezel.

I just picked up this Casio watch a couple months ago after your review. It’s one of the best watches I’ve ever owned, mainly since it’s so easy to read! 10 year battery life!? Looks like the GBD 800 G shock too. What an amazing price value proposition!

I just ordered one today same colour, I have an older G shock, which cost me around €149 about 9 years ago, and it costs €15 per year to change the battery (which gets really boring). A 10 year battery for practically a simple G shock for €41 in FDE colour, I had to buy it.

I am weating for my Casio AE 1500 it's coming from California i live in EL SALVADOR C.A becouse they arrive in december 2021 and put on sale on january ( 2022) next year AND BECOUSE OF MY AGE i can't see the g shock small number i have to use the lensses AND when you drive can't put on the lensses to ser Time i like does big numbers .

Skmei watches did these sort of tactical watch for years. Used it for scuba diving and in very harsh conditions... still running. 10 years battery, 50 atm. 10 bucks! Sorry for Casio.

For the same reasons of clear legibility the discontinued CASIO PRG-100 was all around techincally better than this, but not for price... this has either an unbeatable price. In my opinion they supported badly with marketing and grafic options the PRG-100. it was a truly genius watch, a perfect syntesis of form and functions only the compass could add something.
