I have my original G100 from 2003. Battery still works. Haven't worn it in 15 years. Yet it still functions. Crazy

I’ve never had a watch battery last more than a couple years (including G-Shock) but I have had a motorcycle battery that had an unbelievable lifespan of about 10 years. I just wish they all did that.

I just did a battery change on this exact model and I didn't need to do ac reset. I simply did the hand alignment procedure and job done 👍🏽

@@vintageradar I found websites that sell original parts. They have everything, but entire modules or even LCD only. I went to ebay looking for used watches that I could get parts, nothing.

If you do it properly yes. Everything has to be put back the same way (the gasket, the back, movement, case, screws, make sure to tighten them.)

I removed the battery of my Gshock to test another watch and left the battery on the other watch. Grabed a new battery and followed same steps but my watch won’t turn on. Any help?? It was working perfectly

Did you use the exact battery type? Also, some watches need a reset after the battery replacement.

@@vintageradar I used same battery type, did the reset but it did not turned on. It was working great. After removing the battery I screwed the back on so no moisture could get in

When I take things apart, I always take photos as I go. So I can look it up how it was. So you don't have to remember everything.

Never touch the movement or the battery with your bare fingers. The moisture of your fingers is bad for your movement and battery lifetime.
