This is the Privia PX-S6000, one of Casio's latest Privia models. I think this is so far the best looking Casio keyboard I've seen (only 2nd to PX-S7000 with mustard color ~ that's next level gorgeous)! The wooden panels with sleek, shiny touch surface just compliment each other really well and bring out a beautiful minimalist design. • PLEASE NOTE: THE STAND/COVER (CS-90) ARE SOLD SEPARATELY (I put the link for it in the description) The keybed is solid, heavy when you want it to feel heavy, and light when you want it to feel light. It adjusts to your playing. I tested it multiple times with many different techniques, and it worked really well. Quite responsive and quick! I really like the Privia Grand sound which you hear in this video. It is sampled with depth and acoustic feel. But I want to make more demos showcasing other sounds I found really beautiful, such as the EPs, Strings, Organs, etc. I wrote this composition specifically for this keyboard and I utilized advanced level techniques with fast passages and wide range of dynamics. You be the judge of how you think the keyboard responded to my playing. Please let me know your thoughts in the comments section below. Thank you all for watching.

Just found Leon up here looking for a review of this Casio. I am a guitarist mainly for many years who has played keyboards for composing and now getting more serious about developing my technique and understanding of modern harmony. This Casio seems like a great choice for me but, more than that, Leon's playing was from another planet. He has a very advanced harmonic sensibility and incredible facility. Left hand especially was outstanding. He is a very individual stylist to say the least. Casio should hire him like Yamaha has hired Mateo Mancuso to showcase their Revstar guitars. Bravo maestro. Will check out more of your stuff.

I also love neoclassical/jazz/contemporary composers such as: Prokofiev Stravinsky Bartok Lutoslovski Tigran Hamasyan Aziza Mustafa Zadeh I’m also HUGELY influenced by Dream Theater. I can list so many more but the comment would be way too long lol

Thank you for your great demonstration! Is the s6000 keyboard noticebly better than the s3100? Is it worth upgrading from the s3100 to s6000 since it seems the s6000 is going to cost twice as much...
@LeonThomasian2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your kind words 🙏🏼 Here are some of the reasons why I think it’s worth the upgrade: 1. The keybed feels wonderful and it’s much more quiet than the previous models. The keys have spruce sides which help make it feel more sturdy. 2. The 350 sounds they included in this keyboard are higher quality and have more customization features (DSP effects, layering, etc.)… although I haven’t messed with that as much as I want to yet 3. The screen is a bit larger and is much easier to navigate through. The four function buttons on the side help assign whatever you like on the go. 4. It just looks really beautiful. Higher quality build. Even the touch panel feels different. It includes that touch wheel which respond really well and can be used as arrow buttons as well. They mention more details about what the big upgrades are in the last video they uploaded (the LIVE event). For me honestly, as a pianist, I just really loved the way the keybed felt.

Thanks for doing this unboxing and review. I know you have or had a VPC1 and since you clearly are very talented, for someone who is about to learn playing the piano, which one of the VPC1 and PX-S5/6000 do you recommend as a MIDI / DAW controller in terms of key feel and usage ?... The Casio is newer and handles everything like a charm while demanding less space, which is a good thing ofc.
@LeonThomasian Жыл бұрын
Thank you and sorry for the late response! In my honest opinion, I recommend Casio PX-S5/6/7000 series. As you said they are slim and fit better for midi controller setup. They have great action and can also be used as a digital piano with built in sounds/speakers so it's convenient to sketch ideas on the spot without needing to turn on your computer and load samples every single time you wanna get inspired. Currently I am using the Casio 7000 as my midi controller and I never looked back. Hope that helps.
