I just bought a 93 Casita Freedom Deluxe used today. It's my upgrade from a Honda Element for camping on Cape Lookout/Davis Island NC. Beach camping is the best!!

I noticed you reinforced your refrigerator door, we did the same. We have a 12 volt fridge too, it’s one of our favorite purchases for our Casita, no more ice runs. Thanks for sharing your mods, we are always looking for good ideas.

Great Video, along with the Padre one, very nice. We ordered our Independence Casita in August 21, expect delivery Dec 22. Your video will definitely help me plan out one of our initial trips. I love the coast but living in North Texas just can't afford extended stays. Now with the Casita it's on. Ive had them wire ours for the External solar connections, lots of your mods are very nice can't wait. Surprised y'all haven't been fishing didn't see any tackle set up. Thanks for the Great videos keep em going. When we ordered our Casita it was a 15 month lead time. Ive been told it's well into 20+ months now, and yeah, we got as many add on's as we could. especially the furnace.

Just started looking at Casitas. Been an Airstream lover for decades but they have out priced my dream of being a Bambi owner. Casitas look to be more durable and quality built without the fancy price tag. Thanks for the down to earth video on all the great mods you have made and how you enjoy your Casita. Casita prices have dramatically increased since 2018, when we bought ours. Perhaps the demand will decrease along with prices due to the current economy

Wow! Loved the Casita Mods! The food looked so yummy, and the beach was Amazing. I have a 2021 Casita that I bought from a Lady in Northern CA. I have not used it yet. I bought a new 5th Wheel Grand Design 310GK a couple months after I bought my Casita. I had several things that needed done in new Rig. Can't wait to take my little Lady Bug out to Oceanside to my favorite RV Park called Paradise By The Sea. I have my Special Need Son that I do everything for, and I have the packing, planning on my own. I think once I get it down like my 5th Wheel it will be easy. I bought a matress that they make for Casitas that is round on one side, and a matress for the little table area for Josh. I am leaving the full size matress up all the time. I also have a Clam that is like an extra living room. Looked like a Fun vacation.

So you guys drive down from Decatur, we are from the Roanoke/Keller neck of Fort Worth, and drive down to NPI 2 times a year. We made a huge mistake this year and went to Galveston for our April trip, it’s far to windy and Stuart beach was closed (might have been good to know) will try Galveston another time, but for our 2nd trip we take the end of August we are going back to Port Aransas, Mustang Island, White Capped beach etc. because driving on the beach is so great for anyone with a rig, or like in our case, there is a person requiring forearm crutches, walking on wet sand is far better than shuffling 200 yards thru hot, soft, dry sand!

Our last trip to galveston we took the ferry to the north and camped on that beach, and it was awful, everyone kept speeding past us up till 5 am blaring loud music. We weren't able to get any sleep lol.. thats the summer crowd for ya.

The Airhead composting toilet… 👌🏼. I just line the toilet with a bag when dry camping. However, I don’t discard the idea of replacing it one day with an Airhead. You made it sound easy. I wouldn’t add the urine diversion. So, that would be one less step for me. Thanks for sharing.

AIR HEAD composting toilet, and we installed it ourselves, but little home can do it for you. have them plum the urin into the black tank, thats a good option.

1 week is ideal, for 2 weeks you would need to bring a water bladder in your truck bed to refill with. Speaking of boondocking of course.

you need the one with the controller, its the 219 one, the controller is the smart computer needed to monitor and change charge settings, and you need to tell it what chemical make up your battery is, ie. agm, lithium etc.. click on the video details, i put links to all the components for you. cheers!
