This is STILL one of the most hauntingly beautiful tracks ever recorded...still blows me away at how deep yet atmospheric it is. One of the true masterpieces of Prog from the turn of the millenium...

20 yrs later and I can mix a Cassand Slide track in a brand new stack and it won't sound outdated or the production old.... amazing feet in itself.... don't make many that good or even close

All of Cass and Slide tracks can be mixed in with plenty of sound quality and properly produced to drop like they're new, well pressed prints and intricate beats...

@TupacFan4Ever that was the - Fire record label, its Cass and Slides label as well as Sabatouge too. Fluid rec. has a lot of choice tunes more on the hypnotic side and Bedrock rec. and SAW records were great to for the prog. house as well Electrofly for some silky prog. Breaks ... really some of the best producers, most still making great music. cheers happy hunting

@TupacFan4Ever Don't forget get Silver Planet rec. that's James Holden , my favorite got started with Timo Mass... amazing label, hard to go wrong and a great State side label, Fade rec. has some of the best in the era...

I'm stressed out of my mind right now, but listening to this track has helped me feel better. Such a masterpiece, I love the changeover from dark to upbeat at 3:55 too. Hopefully in the future I'll be making tracks like this

@@tomwatts703 do not give up. I started when I was 12, I’m 22 now and it’s been such a battle of frustration and doubt, but as the years have went on especially the most recent years I have only improved with each track, stick with it and you will do yourself proud mate. I am still not quite there, but I am certainly there abouts, believe in yourself

Glad to see others like this track.Cass & Slide Opera was spun in every set I ever did back in the day,and it never failed to put everyone in a Trance where many people asked me what was that 2nd to last record you spun. There is not one day that goes by that I dont listen to it.It still takes me to a certain place,it never gets old to me.

@ Evan Niakamal Cass and slide did many records that were amazing check out (perception, astral projection, another rework of this is opera excession) and one that is amazing is (Sasha Lupus Cass and Slide) Cass and Slide Diablo (Evolution mix) perception was huge and there was many remixes its a vocal version. These are the best in my opinion, hope this helps.

I like how alone this makes one feel. That big wide, vacant spaciousness and the repetitive nature of it. Too mechanical and cold for there to be any recognizable human warmth. Humanless soundscapes, just the pure subjective experience with no hard reference.
