I first got acquainted with your music via Pitchfork and 'Hard Drive', a meditative piece so well written, lushly layered and sincerely performed that my interest in 'An Overview on Phenomenal Nature' and you as an artiste was piqued. Your collaboration with Suhail on 'Hard Drive' produced a milestone in music history that everyone should hear of. Petco is markedly a stark contrast from the style of work evident in 'AOOPN', with the track giving off Lo-fi grunge vibes. Writing and singing these songs live will definitely add some freshness and variety to your career as an artiste, and I think it functions like a pet project in your discography; I can imagine things getting a bit intense if you were have to perform only songs like 'Hard Drive' and 'Crosshairs' over and over again. Incidentally, I just want to say that I love the instrumentals in 'Delphinium Blue' (for some strange reason, the synths and sparseness brought 'Enya' and Caroline Polachek's 'Crude Drawing of an Angel' to my mind) and I hope you continue to grow as an artiste and make cathartic songs like 'Hard Drive' and 'Crosshairs' in future. Most importantly, however, I wish you wellness of mind and body Cassandra.
