There's a video on YT of a concert she did in Austin years ago that is one of the best shows ever. Consider that as the opinion of a Gen-X prog/fusion/neo-classical guitarist who played in a number of thrash metal bands back in the day. Her guitar style is pretty damned cool. I also like that she played guitar in that show. This guy is good, but her style is it's own thing, and I was really missing that here.

@@TheEvilDrRit’s such a fantastic performance from the band - not meaning to be THAT person but she’s a solo artist and voted one of the greatest guitarists currently (despite her not playing here!). @@gimo80 Polyphonic!?! I know a coupla people that were in that band around 2013 or so. I've been hearing of St. Vincent for ages, always thinking she had a connection to Dallas/Fort Worth's local music scene. Guess I should've been paying more attention to her back then, but it's hard to keep with all the great players in North Texas! I dunno what they put in the water around here, but the area just churns out talented musicians. How cool to find I'm 2 or 3 "degrees of Kevin Bacon" from Anne Clark. LOL. I'm only 2 degrees from Paul Simon and Jerry Garcia, though. And 1 from Edie Brickell, Maren Morris and Leon Bridges. Anyway. I watched a show she did in France w/ David Byrne, and several other things on YT yesterday. She's amazingly diverse, and hugely talented. Will be diving deeper in to her catalog, for sure.
