Hey Cassandra big fan this side. I am suffering from a skin disease and I don't know what is it. What happen is my face becomes patchy and dry during winters. These white patches are so dry and I feel like my skin is shedding. I visited many doctor but none of their suggested medicine helped me out. Some says that it's nothing just calcium deficiency. Some says that it's due to dandruff. They would recommend me face washes, shampoos,and face creams that are so expensive. And that okay but the problem is none of these helped me out. So I am here .you are so knowledgeable and I think can help me out. Reply soon winters are about to come and I don't want to suffer again.

I think the whole ‘hush hush don’t talk about naturium’ is so shady in the skincare world and that thumbnail was clickbait when you did not go into it how you feel about the brand when you feel so free to give your opinion on others. This is the reason why being part of a ‘community’ is not a good idea when you are doing reviews of products from that community. Don’t mention the brand at all if you don’t want go into the shadiness of the launch or just say you are too biased to give an honest opinion. But to actually recommend a product from them without going into the brand in A VIDEO ABOUT BRANDS AND PRODUCTS...just no.

Could you also maybe recommend more no plastic products? I live in Switzerland and no plastic products are quite expensive, however for me it is worth to invest in. Kelsey I'm one of the people that destroyed their skins with Mario Badescu's Control Cream... I had very sensitive skin and was so happy to have found this cream that made my skin happy - one year later when I stopped the cream because I couldn't find anymore all hell broke loose. I couldn't even sleep because of the itchiness and inflammation... And now 8 years later my skin is still not back to normal because the barrier is compromised and it has no immunity, so it's extremely sensitive, reactive, dehydrated, I have steroid rosacea (I even got ocular rosacea), I have to spend so much time and money to take care of it. And when I found about the steroids in the cream, on the thread where everybody was discussing there were people complaining of systemic reactions (when the steroid gets absorbed by the body because of prolonged use) - some of them had been hospitalised with Cushing Syndrome. And Mario Badescu never admitted and apologized for this, they are a horrible, unethical company.

It’s crazy that Sunday Riley did that because I’ve been repurchasing her Luna oil, tidal cream, good genes, and vitamin c since 2014. I’ve tried soooo many things to try to replace them but there’s just no replacement for them. My skin loves those products.

I just came here to tell everyone that if your favorite products are sold out, discontinued or just too expensive, EBAY! Also, it's a great option for people like me who wanted to try that D.E tlc sukari baby facial without actually supporting drunk elephant. Instead, I supported some mom making a living somewhere! It's a win-win! And no, I'm not saying I support these companies but as a skin care fanatic, I can only stand to hear so many people say a product is great, and praise it without trying it myself. I'm a curious cat, sue me. But like I said, my support goes out to small sellers like those on eBay. And yes, I'm one of those small sellers, but it's how I was able to figure it all out, and come share with you all, so enjoy! (Oh, and don't buy from overseas. Refine location and thank me later, as Cass would say 🤣)
@jetsofaqua22064 жыл бұрын
You're still supporting drunk elephant by buying them indirectly from another seller
@JamieNotLamie4 жыл бұрын
@@jetsofaqua2206 not exactly. Stores will purchase products from companies to sell. Let's say sephora buys a whole bunch of product, then a year later the packaging gets redesigned, or it's just too old to comply with their personal guarantees. These stores then lose out on their purchases by selling to liquidation companies that these people purchase with their hard earned money, hoping to flip it for slightly more, in order to put food on the table. These sellers will buy it regardless. My money goes to the seller, and they buy their kids Christmas presents. The chain of command is so far removed, that it's not a direct correlation. My money did not go to drunk elephant. The stores are the ones investing in them, and losing out because not enough people bought it in the store. So then the profit margin in turn goes to the sellers at eBay, mercari, poshmark, etc. But still, my point is that it's much better if anyone is determined on buying/trying something from an immoral company, to hand their money to a small business online then the company itself. It's still the lesser evil regardless, then again as an eBay seller that supports my family by selling things I buy from store closeouts, I am probably bias. But I do understand what you're saying.

Literally yes! Try and buy second hand if possible, I bought a skinfix baby lotion for £4 BRAND NEW UNOPENED while the RRP was 5 x the cost of that. Love me some depop hehe

@@jetsofaqua2206 noooo products off of ebay could easily be out of date or fake. be careful buying skincare off the grey market.
@JamieNotLamie4 жыл бұрын
@@caitieeeee sellers are required to post the expiration, though some products don't have it, they may have a batch code which I usually look up but then again I'm savvy on product research already. Regardless, eBay has a money back guarantee, you demand an instant return if they don't lost the right date. It's not 2005 eBay anymore.

Please do a full brand review of the Naturium. They've got so many good products that I'm genuinely curious and intrigued. Are they a good dupe for Paula's Choice?
@kendallstark43024 жыл бұрын
I just have a feeling that Cassandra won't support it because of how Susan Yara went about its launch. I get that it wasn't the best way to do it, but Susan has since apologized. If Naturium shipped internationally, I'd definitely buy their products, because I truly believe in the advice Susan gives. From this video and others, Cassandra doesn't give second chances (that's her right, don't get me wrong).

I know this video was 3 years ago, but this is one of your best videos. I like that you like some products from brands you hate b/c it means you TRY THINGS. It means your opinions are honest through trial and error; the most scientific process. I also dislike ST. Ives but I like that you found something you like and that there are other products similar to it. I've never heard of Saturday Skincare so thanks for that, too. More videos like this one please. For example. I want to use Pacifica and Cocokind but unfortunately, I'm not in my 20's. While nice, they are just not good enough. Clean skincare must include people over 35.

Can you tell me how you learned that the salicylic acid in the Dermalogica oil is 2%? I'm not seeing that clearly on the product page. I too am looking for something to replace the SR UFO which was a HG for me and was able to sample the one from A. Florence skincare from a US based retailer a year ago but it looks like they no longer carry it and it doesn't seem that AFS ships to the US. I see the brand Votary also has a similar product but it contains tamanu oil, which despite my research showing it benefits acne prone skin, my skin seems to disagree.

I do have a hard time supporting Naturium though (at least for now, and from what I have seen), given the fact that the founder did "cheat and lie" about it, when there were better ways to introduce the skincare line to the public. The fact that it is Susan Yara's brand isn't a reason for me to use double standards.
