I was 16 when your viral cystic acne makeup video was released. I struggled with cystic acne and I felt so relieved to see other people in a similar situation. I too would slather everything I could on my face just praying it would go away because it was so painful and embarrassing. You helped shape my interest and love for skincare when I was in a vulnerable place and provided me with an overwhelming amount of knowledge on how to overcome my acne! So thanks for all you do for the skincare community.

If you're on the hunt for a good mist for flights, d'Alba makes one that is sometimes referred to as the the 'Flight Attendant Mist' because it's popular among Korean flight attendants. It's called the White Truffle First Spray Serum. I like it cause it not only hydrates the skin, but it has a moisturizing layer that sits on top to lock in that hydration. It's not fragrance free but I don't mind and I think it smells great.

Or she doesn’t like getting water everywhere when washing her face in the sink.
@JamieNotLamie Жыл бұрын
@@KarleeBretthauer That's why I lean over the tub instead of the sink! When you lean down the water won't travel down your arms as easily, and you can splash your face as much as you want over the tub! Try it, it will change your whole routine! No clean up ever. I was seriously so tired of making a mess washing my face that I found a new way and I'm trying to get the word out for my fellow cysters. 😅
Just a heads up, barometers are for air pressure, hygrometers measure humidity. Haven’t flown in a hot minute, but as someone with dry skin who lives in a very dry climate (15-20% indoors during winter is not uncommon), here’s my game plan for combatting the dry: 1) drink lots of water and/or diluted electrolytes the day before, the day of the flight and the day after. I’m talking like a full gallon a day. More if you plan to consume a lot of caffeine, salt, sugar, or alcohol. 2) double cleansing and gently exfoliating will help moisturizers sink in better 3) Skip the HA serums. There’s not going to be any water for it to draw into your skin, so it’s more likely to start drawing it out. 4) Apply a good non irritating moisturizer, the heavier the better, even if you are oily, slather it on. You can always blot later if needed, but trying to catch up once you’re dry is a struggle. Let that absorb well, then apply sunscreen over it. 5) Skip the makeup if possible, I find it makes me more dry when things are already dry. Stick to maybe a bit of concealer and mascara, maybe a tinted sunscreen/cc cream, and a tinted lip balm instead of lipstick or gloss. Preferably with SPF. 6) If you are willing to go sans makeup and okay being a bit shiny I’d actually slug your whole face once you’ve allowed time for the sunscreen to absorb, give it 20-30 minutes and then blot lightly to remove the worst of the grease before you leave for the airport. I would do a trial run of that to see how the sunscreen you want to use works under the occlusive you want to use to make sure you don’t get any pilling. 7) As soon as you get to your hotel/home double cleanse again, put on a hydrating sheet mask, and then slather on the moisturizer. 8) Unless you are heading somewhere very humid, consider taking a portable humidifier to run on your night stand. Your skin will want all the extra moisture it can get to rebound.

I'm a flight attendant and had my skin under so much control (thanks to you) before I started the job. My skin looks foul in those lavatory mirrors 😂 the dryness also breaks me out. I'm from the UK too where carry-on liquids have to be under 100ml and has to all fit in a 20x20cm bag. I often have to substitute serums and moisturisers for more sunscreen if I'm going somewhere hot so I'm having to keep a very minimal routine. I'd love to see a video for us!!! Sometimes I'll just slug in vegan vaseline but its not the most glamorous look hahaha

Can you decant (new word for me) your products into tiny containers? (where applicable). In the shower I have little travel bottles for my shampoo, cleanser, bodywash, benzoyl peroxide. Just a bunch of uniform little bottles that I refill once in a while that all fit on a small suction shelf out of my way. Out of the shower I have The Ordinary Salicylic Acid solution, and I keep those bottles and put my much bigger bottle of The Ordinary Glycolic Acid into that dropper bottle, so much nicer.

Assuming she’s putting the Dermalogica spray on a pad and not directly spraying it on her face to not waste product. I do this so this is my personal assumption** I noticed when I use skincare sprays so much product is wasted in the air and doesn’t reach my face if I just spray it.

This is so true. Once I was travelling on a day time flight and I had just gotten laser treatment done 1 day before as I was attending a ceremony 3 days later. And within 1 day after I reached my destination I saw my entire face change colour. I got so badly tanned. Even though I had put sunscreen before I left for the airport. But I am guessing I should have reapplied. Anyways never doing any procedures before my travels again

Honestly I love the rose water from Mario . It smells so wonderful. I would just spray it first thing in the morning bc I loved the smell but I did clean my face first then spray the rose water then when that dried I added my serum Then moisturizer. I have used Selena’s under eye patches and they actually worked really good. They are always sold out though.

Hey Cassandra! This has nothing to do with this video and if you dont mind me asking, what is the difference between an essence toner and a pure essence, cuz in your last video you recommended the Purito toner as an essence, and im interested in the pyankung yul essence toner, can i use it with the purpose of blurring my pores? Thank you, ik you made a video abt the difference between those two but what is the cutting line that determines an essence from an essence toner, are these just marketing techniques? I want to know all about it
@elizabethevelyn7125 Жыл бұрын
I also don't spray my toner spray directly on my face, and this is both to keep it out of my eyes/eyelashes (I always wind up with eye sting when I spray it directly, even with my eyes closed) and to get a more even application of the product (sprays are prone to skip areas). I just spray it onto my hands and pat pat 😅 I know it kinda defeats the purpose of a spray but I like the product itself
@20thcenturyrelic Жыл бұрын
The product probably has a lot of alcohol and/or fragrance in it. When the spray is used up, save yourself some money and refill it with tap water. It will moisturize your face just as well.

Aesthetician to the stars Nerida Joy really loves the Rejuvi brand and has used it for like 40 years and swears by it. I looked into it and there are a couple of products that seem really good but many she swears by have a lot of essential oils and sort of questionable ingredients that I am not sure my sensitive skin could handle. It's actually a 3.5% Retinol + squalane blend. They don't disclose the Retinol strength on its own for whatever reason. If it is 3.5 it's definitely diluted by the other ingredients. I haven't had issues with it but I've heard some people have including one of my coworkers.

It would be soo helpful for us instead of remembering what you said bout x product in each video. And if it’s not approved by you cuz you may not have reviewed it yet, users can scan the products front and back and submit it for your review.
