After years of not hearing anything from Cass, I casually asked myself what he is up to today and checked his discography. Turns out before the whole "I'm a hustla" thing he already had underground legendary status (don't judge me, I was too young back then). After this kind of one hit wonder, you would expect that he ends up like other artists who had a short commercial peak: ending bitter, bummy, broke, burned out. But no, dude comes out of nowhere and slaughters the best battle rapper of those days, dizaster, like it's nothing after a hiatus from freestyle for 12 years. That was actually the last time I heard from him and I really expected him to be gone for good, or like other long time rappers to have a "I'm too good for this shit" attitude towards rap, being involved in producing at best or just simply flexing on young cats with his past fame. But dude comes again out of nowhere, goes full circle and to his very beginnings as a battle rapper and is constantly kicking some young dudes ass on stage. Never saw such a dedication to hip-hop. I got maaad respect for this guy, one of the very few who really deserves the title of a "legend".
