In this clip, Cassidy reflected on the passing of DMX and how he was a source of inspiration for him to pursue a career in music. He recounted his most memorable experience with X but noted that they never got the chance to record a song together. Later in the clip, Cassidy weighs in on the advent of AI and what the implications of its existence can have on how people go through the world. To Cassidy, he thinks AI can liberate people from manual labor and give them the opportunity to pursue more creative endeavors.

1998 was a great year for hip hop especially when X dropped those two albums in that same year,that went #1,because until then it was that bubble gum rap that Puffy and Mase were dropping. Don’t get me wrong that shit was banging then but when X dropped “It’s dark and hell is hot” that street rap was back. I was living in LA at the time and every other car was bumping that album. People in my age group, I was 21 years old in 1998 , and that album was everywhere. RIP X. RIP to all the greats from the 90’s PAC,BIG,Heavy D and all that I missed.

@@HK00088 Yes it is sad because guys like Big,who is my favorite rapper ever,only got to see his freshman album,Ready to Die. Big was murdered about two weeks before Life After Death was released. When I sit down and look at that it really saddens me. Imagine if Big and PAC were still alive! PAC had a lot more albums out prior to his demise than Big did and even more albums were released after he was murdered. I personally know that there are Big tracks that have never been released that he was featured on another artist’s track. There are actually a decent amount of them that whoever own the rights to could possibly release a album of those tracks. I kinda thought that this might happen on the 25th anniversary,damn it’s been that long, but it didn’t. I don’t know who owns these tracks but please release them!!! But now with AI and Open AI and Chat GPT you can have songs with let’s say Bigs voice and flow that AI creates. The future of music is going to change dramatically because of this in my opinion. There are going to be court cases about it mark my words.
