Cassie's Voice Comparison Through The Seasons (Dragon Tales)

Here is how Cassie's voice changed over the course of three seasons.

I always thought Cassie had a very adorable giggle, especially during the Dragon Fair when Quetzel awarded her for being an art project herself instead of her basket as an art project.

In the early episodes of Dragon Tales, it sounded like Chantal spoke in her regular voice! And by the time Season 2 came along she gave Cassie that classic high pitched sound that we all know to this day!

I think the last time her voice was more natural and realistic was in A Cool School. I loved her Season 3 voice, it was my favorite. She sounded somewhat different, soft and sweet, and not too squeaky.

I think some of the season 1 episodes were produced and broadcast out of order. I can tell by the characters voices in some episodes Oddly enough, in some of the episodes that seem to be made earliest, Max’s voice sounds a bit lower pitched

@@KENNYTHEGHOST777 Chantal Strand was a child when she started in 1999, so I doubt it. In 2005 she was an older teenager but I doubt it. She's just a really good voice actress

Interestingly, Chiara Zanni, the woman voicing Petunia on BLT, had a guest role in _Dragon Tales_ as well: voicing Nikki in the episode "Three's a Crowd." And did you know Zanni actually was a child actress once? At 8, she voiced the Poky Little Puppy (though that was a boy character) in one of some Golden Book Land videos.

Interestingly enough Cassie's voice in To Fly With Dragons (first segment of the first episode) is in her regular high pitched voice, however in the next segment, The Forest of Darkness, her voice is lower pitched. This makes it clear that voice work for TFOD was done early on in production and that TFWD's voice work was done later on when the voice actors/actresses had a better idea of how their voices would work. This is also true for the voices of Zak, Ord, and Quetzal who all had different voices in early production Season 1 episodes. You can tell whether or not a Season 1 episode was worked on early or late in development by the character's voices.
