I was obsessed with the blue/purple iridescent Chanel 19 that was launched in a previous collection that had the oil slick hardware. When shopping for it on the pre-loved market, I noticed that it loses its luster or sheen over time. Which is the entire appeal of the bag. I think because it’s such a soft and supple leather, it’s hard for the dye to adhere to this thin of a material. Gorgeous bag but would be super bummed if the iridescent lost its shine with a price point that high.

loved going to Chanel after watching this video... that pink mini flap with the enamel also comes in a more affordable wallet on chain that fits a smaller iphone! its peachier pink in person. all the things that made me gasp in store aren't even on the website-- just know if you see anything and everything iridescent it is STUNNING. there was a dark pink iridescent classic flap i would never be able to justify after the price increase. holding out for barbie pink things which aren't in yet where i live. bank account is shaking lol

Love your reactions 😂 The mini flap with top handle comes in a baby pink too that I loooove but alas, I don't have the budget and it would derail my other planned bag purchases. I DO have the budget for shoes though and loved the espadrille sandals! lol. I asked my SA and she said they could order them for me in a couple weeks but they can't order anything new before that - have you heard of that before? It's a smaller boutique (no ready to wear but still standalone), so don't know if they have different rules. Re: that 19 bag that was left out in the sun, it reminds me of oddly colored mold growing on tile grout, so your description is much more favorable!!
