Love watching this again . So much talent in the final 12 and so many of them have became super successful from this show. Unbelievable tbat they had doubts about Rachel and she's one of the biggest west end stars at the moment and even made it to Broadway.

That’s what I loved about these shows though- it’s not just about who is the most talented, it’s who is right for that role. Looking back, I think Rachel would have been great but at the time I totally saw Jessie or Jodie as Nancy

About 3 weeks ago i saw rachel playing the leading role in the lloyd webber musical Sunset Boulevard! She was outstandingly good. And i remember now that ...10 or 15 years ago ..? .. i saw her singing on this very show and thinking she was brilliant with an amazingly powerful clear voice .. and what about jessie's film career?! Bravo to both!x

This show seems to turn out more people with a somewhat lasting career in showbiz than things like Idol, X factor and Got Talent. I guess a 12 month contract on West End gives you more exposure and credibility than a one hit wonder single that tops the charts for two weeks.

Why not? Without knowing their names, upfront I began wondering why I knew certain faces and then when some names began coming in...I realized seeing Jessie Buckley in "Judy:" and hearing Renee Zellwegger gush about her and then how she sung the song at the BAFTAs, "Glasgow" was amazing. Rachel Tucker, of course, "Wicked"....+++ and Samantha Barks, "Les Miserables", playing Eponine. How wonderful for them that this show, a decade ago ++ helped them out at their beginnings. I don't know why I know all this stuff...as I am not British, but, hey...I read, watch, listen. Cheers!

Sarah (went out way too early) 4. Francesca (as above; she was actually my fave until she went out when it first aired) 5. Samantha 6. Cleo (she should have gotten a lot further IMO) 7. Jessie 8. Niamh 9. Ashley (how she outlasted Francesca AND Sarah I will never know) 10. Keisha 11. Amy 12. Tara (she should have been the first one out)

Still remember fuming that ALW chose Samantha for the top three over Rachel because he had some sort of thing for her. Now both of them are arguably the most succesful out of the lot of them. Haven't heard anything of Jodie for a while. (Edit: Apparently Jessie's done quite well for herself too! Honestly the most successful group of finalists on all of these shows)

The choreography and blocking of all these performances remind me of when I'd do that teenage girl thing where you pretend you're giving your own concert or performing in a musical. What I mean is, it's awkward and cringey. Super weird. The singing is great, but the choreography is like... wtf.

Ok so I don't believe i watched this properly when it was first out, but I obviously know of Jodie. When I'm watching the rest, the first singer Jessie, I don't rate very highly based on that performance, and Tara..... she is really irritating me and I don't know why lol. Everytime she sings 'Suddenly I see ahh'... i just want to tell her that see is one syllable. Also, her last few notes.... shocking. But Jodie was very good.
