coming back to try and finish this series (Got distracted first time around) . Me around the 23 minute mark: Oh... it's the Cosette from Les Mis 25th anniversary! I'd seen that video before watching this and was wondering why she had looked so familiar. She's now in the promo's for the National Tour in clips where she was Fantine at some point as well. Even though I know she didn't make it past the boot camp this worked out great for her. Even though I know the results (and hope my brain will forget who the winners for Joseph and Maria are by the time I eventually get to those videos), still awesome to watch the journey of the winner (whom I will not name for the top spoiler) and a runner up ... was also in that 25th anniversary concert and the movie itself.

Rachel Tucker went on to play Meat in We Will Rock You, her standout role of Elphaba in Wicked alongside Louise Dearman, eventually becoming the longest running performer to play the role both in the West End and Broadway and recently, she played Beverly Bass in Come From Away both once again in the West End and Broadway before COVID hit last year.

Yup. As was the case with the other shows in this format too; after all, if you're truly serious about wanting a career in musical theatre, you can't just throw in the towel after losing a competition like this when you can use the experience as a springboard. That's a big reason why I miss shows like this (besides just wanting more musical theatre content on TV), they were absolute goldmines in terms of exposure for performers (both established and aspiring) regardless of whether they ultimately won the role.
