Ali could hold forth with anyone, just amazing. Ed Sullivan and his show, as told by George Carlin, was at least tough on comedians, i.e. come to you late, cut time from your act, then again, etc...but Ali, 21 years old here, no different than vs. William F. Buckley, Cosell, Cavett--he just had supreme confidence, so relaxed.
