Oliver Anthony has such a pure heart❣️🙏 I feel blessed to hear his music! I've been sober since 2020 with God's help and this song makes me cry even the 100th time I hear it. You did manage to make me burst out laughing through my tears though, which was unexpected to say the least! 😊

Don't regret doing a live reaction. His soul, his rawness, his heart, his pain and his sorrow, hits all of us straight to our soul. Raw reactions are just a reflection of what's already inside of us that he's able to reach. . This is why all of his songs are going viral. He suffers/suffered with mental health issues and depression and that's where the songs came from. We are meant to feel it. He said he doesn't want a music career, he wants a music ministry.❤️

Both parents were substance abusers and alcoholics my entire life. Now as an adult my brother is an addict, our family is fractured. Both my older sister and brother are very selfish and unfunctonal adults and I am the only one that seemed to move forward. I am happily married to a good man and have 3 kids but I would be lying to say I didn't hide deep scars and pain to this day inside. You are not alone to be brought to tears with songs like this. I hope you find peace. Even with a loving new family I still hide my pain.

So here's the thing. Not even sure of your going to see our read this but I am a 57 yo female from Australia and this has to be the best reaction that I've seen to this song. I am a devout Christian and hate swearing but I can't help but watching your honest and vulnerable reaction. I've watched it quite a few times. I pray that your past be the strength you find for the future. My story is a bit different. My mum was addicted to valium because of ptsd but despite that it was a terrible time growing up. It messes with your mind and prevents emotional intelligence. I pray that people like us find solace in this song. God bless you abundantly.

Saw this comment on another reaction and thought it was captured perfectly: @nicolenicolerson5200 1 month ago One thing I've been noticing is that Oliver Anthony is making grown men cry, more than a lot of other sad songs people react to. And the reason why, I believe, is because here is this man. This God fearing, manly man, honest and true, expressing himself as a man. There is nothing weak about it. He touches men's nerves from one man to another man, without any elements of weakness or inferiority or even femininity. He's allowing men to feel understood and allowing then to express themselves. Idk if that makes sense

Honesty. That perfectly sums it up. How profoundly honest do you have to be to open yourself up like that, to the world and to yourself? This kind of stuff only happens in genuine art. Like you said, may he keep on waking up when the sun comes back around.

Your reaction videos go as deep as the poetry of Oliver Anthony. I feel deep resonance. After 23 years of being sober and 9 years of depression and almost 2 years of cancer, I am finally grateful for this hard impact. Who has walked through endless darkness and nevertheless managed to overcome himself to come back to the light, understands the world with different eyes. The ultimate freedom that one has attained after leaving this dark valley of tears behind, cannot be described in words. In this context, I also suspect that it must have been quite easy for Oliver Anthony to turn down the $8,000,000 contract. Many greetings from Germany

@CassiusAchilles What Oliver Sings today to our world It's so deep . he is a very deep thinker he sings what we need to hear Life is hard. But it is how we learn . the older we get, the more we understand what really means the most in life , and that is our song. At judgment, the song that we write will be before us. I totally understand what you are going Through .I am older and have been through it personally. It took me a long time to get through it.

Listening to the song and your response took me back. His appeal to get sober is so universal - how many of us are caught in destructive thoughts or habits we would give anything to have lifted? It's a meditation on empathy for addiction of every kind

"It won't happen tonight" has double meaning. The most common meaning is obviously putting it off tomorrow. The second meaning is... Change doesn't happen over night. Whatever your struggle, your crutch, your vice....for the vast majority of people, you can't just turn it off. And when we fall back on it, we are so crushed by failing we may as well go all in, so...pour it on strong, till I drown. And if I survive....I will regret I did it.

This is my favorite one too. As a recovering addict this hits home. God moves in mysterious ways and we cant understand his intentions. God has said ne would not place a burden on our shoulder greater than our ability to bear. I know first hand that if that burden does become to great he will take it from us. In 2001 i was using everything VERY heavily. One night of heavy drinking i decided to end it. I locked the doors, closed the curtains, tirned out the lights. I kneeld down in the middle of the living room and put a .357 mag pistol in my mouth. Cocked the hammer and was squeezing the trigger when God placed his hand on my shoulder and showed me what would become of my children if I did this. I took the pistol out of my mouth and curled up in the fetal position and cried until the sun came up. I took the pills and booze and poired them out and have been sober since. That was February of 2001
