Doha, Qatar in the 1960s

Great footage. I spent on and off two years in Doha 1962/63 as a teenager. My dad was a chopper pilot who had been flying from Das Island. since the late 1950s. (Chopper pilots were rare in those days..very well paid.) I had an Opel Cadet which I used to take him to work in....I was only 14, lol. I loved my time in Doha, it formed a love for the Middle East which I still have now.... I'm 71 years old. Time flies...make the most of it.

My dad came doha 1967 by ship God bless Him he used tell us stories about Qatar its all desert nothing much around in Corniesh Area here we are now 2020 i am 39 now and doha changed alot 😊

My dad went to Qatar in the 50s and worked for the government for over 35 years. I was born there and lived most of my life in Doha. I certainly miss those golden days.

I'm living in Qatar since birth (I'm a Filipino), from 2003. I love Qatar because it's really fast at keeping up with the first world countries, despite it being "new" if you know what I mean. I never felt unsafe in this country because of how strict it is with its laws. God bless Qatar, His Excellence Sheikh Tamim, and everyone in the country.
