Luke is a comedian today xD Great discussion. I personally believe that the reason Gamepass flatlined is because Xbox didn't have system seller level games. They had good games, but those aren't enough. Also skipping a whole year was bad.

Disagree with Ains about Hellblade 2 not being AAA. Ninja Theory were bought by MS and have all the funding they want, they upgraded all their tech and are using cutting edge mocap and audio capture that not even many other AAA teams use. Money wise, it's probably at least $100m game so far not including the marketing (or lack thereof), how is any of that NOT AAA?

The terms AA, AAA come from the debt market. They are primarily about potential revenue for game, not necessarily about which ones looks the most next gen

Hey Sam - yeah I mean at the end of the day the terms AA/AAA have an invisible line we make up most of the time. As Sid referenced, I was using AAA in this vein to allude that it's not going to be a game that moves the needle on Game Pass or Xbox's bottom line (at least IMO). Pointing to things like the Mocap studio (which is amazing) is not indicative of purely Hellblade. It's an investment into the studio, future games, and other first-party efforts as well. That's why, despite the investment, it's not a $70 title. Regardless, make no mistake. I expect the game to be incredible and I hope it does extremely well.
