Tom I'd love for you to get the pellet grill. Ive got the Prime1500 and it smokes like no other except the Lone Star pellet grill. And i'm talking that nice light blue smoke. Im really impressed with everything Halo! Nice Chuck!

Hey Tom. I was on the rec tec website earlier and I saw they just came out with a griddle that runs on pellets. This is intriguing. It's 1,000 bucks but it might be worth looking into.

I made DIY insulated barrel pizza oven. I will try this method at 700F. I have 22 pound cast iron plate in it. What do you think cooking stake at 800F temp.

Thanks for watching! Good question, the lid does get hot and they didn’t design it to be opened during use, so there isn’t any cool to touch handle

Yes I have one and you can easily open the lid while cooking just grab the rubber hooks on the side and lift it up. Makes getting things out much easier or checking temperatures with an instant read thermometer, or even taking your pizza's out. @@TomHorsmanAmateurBBQ
