@@49ers26 No!!! It was a time consuming job. I had to cut into a concrete floor to get to a level to where I can get a proper level flush cut on the cast Iron pipe. After I did that, I bought the part from Menards to do a dry fit. After that I make up a concrete batch to fill in the section I removed. I let it dry for over 24 hours to make sure it was hardened strong. After it dried, I installed the part. Reinstalled the new toilet and had no issues to date. Oatey PVC Replacement Closet Flange model # 43539. Other box stores carry it too. I like it because it has three adjustable screws inside to extend the rubber seal to completely seal off the pipe from sewer gas or other stuff. It worked great!!! Remember to clean the inside the pipe real good of everything so it doesn’t affect the sealing surface of the part.

From one Master Plumber to another, may I suggest using a high speed drill and a "round wire wheel brush" on the end to clean out the inside of that cast iron. I'm reno'ing my bathroom. My flange sits almost an inch above the plywood right now. In gonna tile soon but I don't think the tile height will come close to the flange. The bigger issue is that when I cleaned off the old wax ring and removed the bolts I noticed it doesn't appear that the pipe is separate from the flange. There is no space indicating that occum was stuffed and lead was poured. It looks like a solid piece L shaped pipe. Any advice? Thanks.

Dave, good tip on the high speed bit.....gonna remember that one. The 4" I.d. on cast was reduced to a 3" pipe and still larger than toilet trap I.d. But I could see your concern on some other flanges. Cast Iron Flange over kill on the residential job.
