Back in the 1990's I did some killer shrimping in the St. Johns! I had a friend that had a horse farm on the west side, we used her dock and every time we filled a bucket, we would run to her porch cooler and do it again! We would fill our big coolers with about 100 lb, plus or minus, then back at it the next day. I was real popular at work those days! When the shrimp run, it get' s very heavy! I miss those days...

an hour where i live here in texas we have a freshwater lake here that is heated by a coal power plant and our wildlife department stocks redfish fry in the lake (they can live in freshwater but cant breed in it) they get huge here avg 40 inches, they have plenty of food because there are plenty of fast breeders like tilapia, crawfish (THEY LOVE CRAWFISH) various sunfish and rio grand chiclids lake is so good that there are multiple charter boats that go out for them on the lake. they dont taste great though as they are in that stanky hot lake water but their fun to catch. back in the 90s they used to also stock speckled trout and some other sortt of seatrout but they stoppeed because the redfish was so dominate in the lake

@JRO195Ай бұрын
@@TugTrashOutdoors yep your right too. Google says Depth finders, also known as sounders or sound depth finders, are primarily used to measure water depth, although some models can also provide information on underwater structures. These devices rely on sonar technology to determine water depth and display the information on the device's screen. Keep up the good work. Your videos are really good, informative and entertaining. @@JRO195I think the commercial side of things(where I’ve spent most of my life) generally says depth sounder, sounder, or bottom machine. Recreational fishing you hear depth finder more. But all terms mean basically the same thing and correct
