Just watched all five seasons. Beautiful story, beautifully told.

Ms Whitfield told the whole truth and nothing but the truth especially at the 18:11 mark. It's interesting to see how all of the actors fall into their character roles even on the panel.

Yes. That is what I had to choose to learn and recognize. That choosing to constantly be angry is very draining and exhausting. It honestly takes a toll on you. Most people don't get that. Nor are they trying to get it. Because they convince themselves that they are protecting themselves when they choose to function that way.

Is there more of this? I can't get enough. I may have to upgrade my current cable subscription.

Just finished watching season 2, but Greenleaf is amazing, and I applaud OWN for this particular one. We who claim to be christians, there is a lot to learn and look out for.

absolutely love this show. As a non-white person I was instantly drawn to it and got completely hooked. Tired of seeing shows where the arab, black, or latino is the 'token' arab, black, or latino. This is about us non-whites being human, with our qualities and our flaws and taking centre-stage! I will always support productions where it's WHITE characters who are the minority for once!

What is the show Green leafs about?🍂
@ladennayoung29394 жыл бұрын
You all are speaking about this show. But did you forget about Adam, David, Jonah, and Noah just to name a few? They/ we are flawed. People will always be flawed. JESUS alone is perfect. So we should only keep our eyes fixed on Him.
@coolnerd28104 жыл бұрын
YUP...and David and Moses and Peter and Paul, etc. People need to read the WHOLE Bible, not just the part they WANT to read. 🙄🤦🏽♀️😂😂😂
@ladennayoung2939 Жыл бұрын
@@coolnerd2810 Yes. I feel the Holy Spirit led them to write about their imperfections to remind us that human beings are imperfect and that HE isn't looking for perfection from us. But HE is looking for sincerity and a pure, genuine, and authentic heart for and towards HIM. HE is looking for us to have a type of Psalms 51 relationship with HIM. He is looking for us to walk in humility and constantly have a heart of repentance. People don't really understand what a relationship with Christ looks like and what it is supposed to be. All they know is religion and they are not willing to choose to let go of the religious mentality much like the Pharisees.

Now I feel they do way too much on Saints and Sinners. I do wonder what message they are trying to send people about the body of Christ.
@ladennayoung29394 жыл бұрын
People please stop saying the black church. It is just church. The house of the Lord. Where the body of Christ come to worship and serve God together.

Yes we are offended by that scene , I love the show but still trying to understand if u are secretly trying to tear down the church!!
@crwilli778 жыл бұрын
It was shocking, but it happens. I'm a Christian and I've seen it happen. I don't believe the show is trying to tear the church down as mush as it's giving a real depiction (good and bad) of what happens.

Natalie Evans The enemy is very subtly and this may very well be doing more harm than good. I haven't watched the show but base on what the characters are saying I get the understanding of the movie. Yes these things do happen in the church as we are all sinners saved by grace but transformation should take place. We should not remain a fornicator, liar, thief etc. The reality stands that the wheat and tare will grow together until the day of harvest. Motive is very important. The intention of the writer may vary well be good. Another thing that stood out in this conversation is the word god. We are living in a pluralistic society so as Christians we need to be aware that when people say god it may not be the Christian God. I pray this movie doesn't harm the church, rather better the church.
@ladennayoung29394 жыл бұрын
@@nubianprincess9982 it is a television show not movie. And yes I get what you are trying to say. I think it depends on what the person that is viewing it take from it. It depends on why that person chose to watch it. Because people tend to cling o what they choose to. No matter what the message is conveying.
