Enjoyed this very fair review. Thank you. I saw the performance at The Curve on Monday (24th February) and this is undeniably a spectacular production but I agree that an undefinable something is missing. Intimacy and presence, perhaps. I too saw it recently at Her Majesty's Theatre (not for the first time!) and that experience was very different to that of Monday evening. The UK tour is brilliant and sparkling in its own right but it is not as the advertising says, 'The Brilliant Original on Tour'. More accurately and fairly it is a touring version of the brilliant original!

Were the sets with the original sets and stuff, or were they the new sets like the last tour.
