I really love this edit since it shows how much Cas is really feeling when you add all the scenes together. It is truly heart breaking to see how much he feels like he doesn’t belong or how he feels like his sacrifices were for nothing sometimes. Then seeing recently what Dean has said to Cas was really the last hope that Cas had as family and with those words it just shot right through his heart. It really showed it in his eyes and that- that makes me choke up and cry 😭 [update: 15x09 everyone 🥺]

I will not be ok with this being done to cas. He's a long standing member of team free will and a brother and a friend. Dean hurting him is unacceptable. And it's wrong. I love the video . Feels like everything is falling apart. I hope Sam goes after Cas to try to get him back, Dean might be done with him, but Sam would still want him to b his family, especially after everything he's lost. Sam and Cas share a special connection over Jack that Cas doesn't share with Dean. Now that Jack's gone, and the ghostpocalypse is taken care of, they could grieve that loss together, for which they'd need each other. Sam has always been more understanding and forgiving of Cas anyway, while Dean always gets pissed at him. Really starting to think Cas picked the wrong brother to have a profound bond with. Maybe after he left he went to Anael since angels are all he's got left, even though most of them hate him, there aren't many left. But Anael was good to him and understood him and the last time they met, not long ago, they seemed to have formed a bond. I hope he goes to her because she doesn't judge him harshly and gets where he comes from and could give him the right advice, she's good at that.

@s u n f l o w e r I don't think they're turning him into a dick. I think they are laying the ground work to improve him so he finally gets to a place where he can redeem himself to his family and doesn't feel angry or guilty anymore. Cause I do think all the anger he's been showing this season is hiding his guilt over playing a part in Jack's death, hence the regret. He's always been someone who's buried a lot of guilt inside of him, it just keeps piling on. But partially causing his own son's death may just be the final straw to tip the scale over to a proper salvation, from which he can grow as a person and learn to love his family in a better, healthier way. It's the final purge of the darkness within, the storm before the calm if you will. Or at least I think it is, we'll see how it plays out.

@s u n f l o w e r yes...Dean's facial expressions especially at the end...he feels badly about losing it with Cas...I REALLY don't think Dean thought Cas would actually walk away like that..think he's a bit shocked..(he KNOWS he screwed up big time to actually make his Angel leave..to move on..) A sword thru the heart would be less painful than this!!😢

@s u n f l o w e r I think you mean Ben, Lisa's son, not Benny the vampire. But yes, anger is his main emotion because its a defense and coping mechanism. Whatever he's feeling, he's been conditioned to go first to anger than any other emotion. It mostly has to do with him repressing all his anger while growing up under John's terrible fatherhood. After his death, everyone has been either his equal or underneath him in terms of authority or power dynamics. So ever since John died, all that repressed anger got free reign to be come out in outbursts or simmering seething rage. Now, don't get me wrong, I absolutely understand why Dean is this way, it's not his fault. But the fact remains that this behaviour is problematic cause it does hurt the people around him whom he loves and these people do not deserve to be at the receiving end of his rage. So it does need to be rectified anyway because it's not fair and his anger hurts him immensely too. This has been a pattern with him, he takes out his anger on the people he loves, it causes a rift between them, they come around and forgive him, he has more guilt piled on that he buries deep within, and everything is mostly fine till something else ticks him off and the entire cycle repeats itself. But maybe this time he went too far, maybe he lashed out on Cas one too many times and there might not be any forgiveness for him without redemption. Once he does redeem himself and earns their forgiveness and learns from this mistake, the slate will be cleaned forever, no more hurt, no more guilt, the pattern broken, the problem will be eradicated from the root, never to return, and he will be a better, healthier person at the end, with a happier family, even if they die at the end. That remains to be seen.

He is the most criminally mistreated character ever... And the apology was sweet and long needed and awaited but Dean has been an asshole for too long. And both him and Sam have this issue that keeps destroying everyone but themselves, and sadly Cas is the only one who always comes back time and time again
