The Castiel/Jack father-son relationship is pure gold! I really do want the Team Free Will 2.0 dynamic to heal in S15. But here's the thing it'll probably never go back to how it was because of that tragic mistake. And I greatly resent the SPN writers for doing it. But if S14 has proven anything it's that Castiel is the one who loves Jack unconditionally, way more than the Winchesters loved him. He is Jack's father in every way that it counts. He never gave up on that kid despite how much he loves the Winchesters. Castiel sacrificed so much to protect Jack since before his birth. Dean and Sam are his best friends. They've been through a ton of sh*t together but he still chose to protect Jack from them. This season really tested the familial bond of these characters and although Dean didn't pull that trigger, he wanted to kill Jack. He couldn't forgive his mistake and this was a child that he helped raise with Sam and Castiel. So Dadstiel for the win! Instead of getting the whole story of what happened with Mary (cause let's be real she antagonized and provoked him which caused him to lash out in anger and fear). Instead of trying to save this kid who's clearly been suffering since he's been born two years ago. Blaming himself for his mother's death. Watching people he cares about get hurt and accidentally hurting people. Living in a scary world of monsters he helps fight against. Treated like a monster because of who his biological father was. Having his powers ripped from him by his father who tried to kill him and those he loves. Thrown into an apocalyptic world. Dying then being resurrected at the cost of his soul (a deal the Winchesters and Castiel made btw). Burning up the last of his soul to save his family from Michael. Killing Nick to prevent Lucifer's resurrection. Having no friends or a life outside of hunting. No real control over his emotions which trigger his powers. Everyone easily turning against him out of fear. And when he accidentally hurts someone he cares about, what do the Winchesters do? They hunt him. They lock him in a box. What Castiel did for Jack was selfless and brave. It was the true testament of what it really means to be a parent. Because although what Jack did was awful and unforgivable sometimes true love is about loving the unlovable. Hunting Jack wasn't the solution and neither was putting him in that box. He needed someone to be his rock. To give him love, compassion and understanding even if he didn't deserve it. That's what he was searching for when he went to Rowena, Duma and then the Klines. Jack felt remorse for what he'd done. And he did this without a soul. When Sam lost his soul he tried to kill Bobby (a man who was a father to him), straight up told Dean he didn't care about him, killed innocent people on hunts, used Dean as bait to bag Alpha monsters (like letting him get turned into a vamp) putting his life at risk. Ruined his brother's happiness with Lisa And Ben. And these are the bad things Sam did without a soul. He's done worse such as betray his own brother for a demon and leave him in purgatory for a chic and a dog. Yet Dean did not turn his back on Sam. Btw I haven't even gotten to Dean's dirty laundry which is a lot. In all honestly the Winchesters are hypocrites. They're failures. They preach about family all the time and I love them; I do but when push comes to shove they don't have a freaking clue what family means. If they did they would've saved Adam (their half brother) by now, they wouldn't put each other first all the time, distrust/ditch and turn on their friends so easily, drop Lisa and Ben like spending a whole year together meant nothing, they would've helped Garth who for all we know is still trapped in the trunk of their car and they wouldn't have abandoned/used a child for their own selfish antics then discard him when he makes a critical error. Bottom line is I don't think there will ever be that lighthearted affection between the Winchesters and Jack again. Not like before, the writers solidified that with Mary's death. But I do think Castiel will continue to be Jack's rock, familial attachment and his dad. I do think Jack will be redeemed fully in S15. And Castiel will help him through all those hurdles. Then team free will 2.0 will make a stunning comeback

I'm agree with you. Poor jack when he loses his soul he needs to help and protect and love more than any other time. But what are Winchesters doing? They are backed him and they were looked him like monster and they wanted kills jack. Humans knows friend and enemy in hard time.

Mommy Cas is always the best. I love Cas and Jack so much. The whole spn family is amazing and they deserve peace and family in the end. 😭😭😭 thank you for the feelings, I love this song and this was so well done. 💜💜💜
